Kavikulguru Institute Of Technology And Science (KITS) Nagpur

Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science, established in 1985, is managed by the Vodithala Education Society (VES) and is permanently affiliated to RTM Nagpur University. The college is situated in Ramtek, Nagpur, Maharashtra. The institute has also been granted affiliation by AICTE, New Delhi and NAAC.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

Living quarters are present for students who wish to reside on-campus through the presence hostels that can accommodate 513 boys and 398 girls. These hostels have solar water heaters, R.O water coolers and televisions for entertainment purposes, besides rooms with basic living amenities.

3 dining halls fulfil the dietary needs of hostel inmates who choose the menu of these halls, besides a canteen that is also present within the campus and can be resorted to for snacks and refreshments.

Campus Facilities

The institution feeds the hunger of its athletically inclined students to satiety by fending for an array of outdoor games facilities like basketball, handball, cricket, kabaddi, football, volleyball, lawn tennis and kho-kho as well as modernised equipments for games within an elaborate indoor games complex that houses badminton, table tennis, chess and carom.

Besides these, a well-furnished gymnasium suited to fitness requirements and 200 metre running tracks are also provided to students.

An enriched library, conference and seminar halls, a bank with ATM facilities, departmental stores, a round-the-clock P.C.O service, television facilities, R.O for safe drinking water availability and a dispensary for elementary medical needs are also provided for within the campus of the institution.

Student Life

Department-centred forums have been created by the institution and look into the co-curricular skills of its students. Additionally, student-headed clubs and organisations conduct quizzes, seminars and guest lectures.

The ‘ISTE Student Chapter’ is instrumental in carrying out technical fests, the ‘Gate Club’ prepares students for the GATE and GRE examinations, the NCC unit trains students as individuals of character and discipline while the ‘NSS Club’ actively undertakes educational programmes.
