Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM) is a private body which was established in 1996 under Sec.3 of the UGC act. It is located at Mulshi in Pune District and has been accredited by NAAC with a grade A.
The institute offers two postgraduate courses comprising of full-time course in Master of Business administration and part-time course in Executive Master of Business Administration whereby both of these programmes are affiliated to the Symbiosis International University.
Admission in MBA is on the basis of an entrance exam known as SNAP along with 50% marks in graduation level whereas in case of Executive MBA, the criteria is 50% marks in graduation along with 3 years of work experience after graduation.
The placement cell has provided great opportunities to the students over the years. In 2017 over18% of the recruitment companies were new. SITM also provide student exchange programs as well as international internship.
Application and Admission Procedure
Admission Process
The candidates who wish to apply must be graduates from any recognized University / Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes).
How to apply
- The students who wish to take admissions in the institute will have to appear for the Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test.
- The students need to fill the online application form carefully. The academic and the personal details have to be filled as per the requirements.
- For this, the students need to log on to and register on the online website by making a payment of 1000 INR.
- The scanned photographs and the documents need to be attached as per the dimensions specified.
- The printout of the application form has to be taken out for future reference.
- The SNAP test result will be declared and the students will be shortlisted for the next process. The selected students will be called for the Group Exercise; Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test. Various rounds will take place before the final selection.

Hostel
There are no hostels in SITM, PUNE as of now.
Facilities
Library: The Library in SITM covers an area of 130 sq.ft and is well equipped. The books are very much beneficial for the students and the genres are widespread.
Laboratory: The laboratories in SITM help the students to be at par with all latest technologies by performing the requisite experiments and field study analysis results there.
Seminar Halls: There are 2 seminar halls, having 100 seating capacity along with audio-visual facilities.
Other facilities:
- There is a shopping mall for the seamless experience of students and a hassle free study life.
- Amphi Theatre is there for movie experience for students during weekends.
- Transport facilities include 5 times a day bus for Pune students.
- Guest House is available.
- A cafeteria is there with hygiene maintained food.

Eligibility:

Remarks
My experience at the college has been one of the best experinces of my whole life.. The college is very diverse with students from around the country and you get a mix culture of a lot of states which is really fun as you get to meet a lot of them and learn and lot from them.
Entrance Exam
I got selected based on my SNAP Score which was 70%. Chose this college as I was from computer engineering background. Having a technical background and being above average student this seemed to the best shot that i have got
Fees
The fee is in line with the leading B- schools. The detailed and latest figures can be obtained from the website. It also provides accommodation and accommodation fees are also separately charged. There is a mess which can be used for food. Tuition, library and accommodation are the main categories of the fees. I have paid aroudn Rs 9-10 lakhs for the 2 years.
Placements
100% percent of the batch gets placed and salaries offered are 5 lakh plus and can go upwards of 10 lakhs in case of some companies. Several telecom as well as IT companies visit the campus. Several alumni are very well placed in the industry and visit the campus.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel rooms are extremely good and the campus is huge. It is at a small distance from the main city. All students can be accommodated in the hostel. There is a very well stocked library that has subscriptions to the latest magazines as well as a computer lab for the students to use.
Alumni
Alumni network at SITM is brilliant. College has alumni committee which bridges the gap between college and Alumni and works towards maintaining the relations. Alumni support the college in placements and internships. Alumni even help students in research projects and mentor the students whenever required.
Faculty
The college has some permanent staff which is very well qualified with a lot of experience. They also invite a lot of visiting faculty from other leading B- schools as well as alumni and delegates from the industry. The visiting faculty helps in giving the telecom market perspective to prepare the students for the corporate world.
Campus Life
Campus life is simply super, As per my opinion every person should experience it. As the students will be comming from different place,religion. So it is very good exposure for a student to understand about the differences in the communites.
Academics
The days are very hectic with a lot of activities planned for each day. There are projects, presentations as well as college committee activities to keep the students busy. Exams happen twice a year, and these are written exams. However there are also labs and projects that need to be completed during the year.
Internships
Yes, Summer internship is conducted by college itself. Companies from various domains such as Operator,Consulting, etc came. Stipend varies upon company and skill sets of students. College also makes sure that any company/ profile that is irrelevant to final placements does not make their way to campus.
