Svs College Of Engineering (SVSCE) Coimbatore

The SVS College of Engineering is a private college, established in 2009 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Thiru. S. Chandrasekaran was the founder of this institute and it is funded by Sri Velammal Subbiah Educational Trust.

It is affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai and has been approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. The NAAC Bangalore has accredited it. The institute aims at working with a qualitative advancement for the overall development of the students.

For admissions in the undergraduate courses, a student must have passed his Intermediate exams with Maths, Physics and Chemistry with a percentage of 50% ( GC ), 45% ( BC/BCM ), 40% ( MBC/DNC ) and 40% ( SC/ST ), respectively. To be admitted to a PG level course a minimum of 50% is required in the relevant graduate degree. TNEA, GATE, JEE, TANCET entrance exams are also part of the eligibility criteria.

SVS College of Engineering is situated in Coimbatore. The college provides hostel facilities for its students. There are two hostels one is boy’s hostel and other is girl’s hostel that are situated in the campus only. There are around 180 rooms in boy’s hostel and 100 rooms in girl’s hostel, and all the rooms are well equipped with basic modern facilities such as bed, mattress, almirah, study table and each room has its own attached washroom. Other facilities like hygienic mess, TV room, reading room, telephone are also provided by the college.

For the overall development of students, the college provides many extension activities, professional societies and SVS clubs.
