Bhilai Institute of Technology is a private institute established in the year 1986 under the affiliation of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University. It is accredited by NAAC A grade and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

HOW TO APPLY?
The candidates seeking admission at Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT), Durg are eligible for the same if they qualify their 12th or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects from a recognised board or Institute with minimum 50% marks.
For admission, the candidates should have appeared for Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test (CG PET) which is conducted by CPEB or JEE Mains. Admission mode is online as well as offline.

Campus Facilities
The university campus is spread over a large area and WiFi enabled, with well-equipped labs and a library. A mess service provides quality food for students.
Hostel
This eminent university has separate hostels for boys and girls. The boys’ hostel is located within the campus while the girls’ hostel is just outside with 24-hour security. The accommodation for first year boys is isolated from the other parts of the hostel.
Student Life
Students take part in many extracurricular activities and form clubs for photography, robotics, etc. The university provides indoor and outdoor sports facilities within the campus. In addition, scholarship programs, such as the Seth Balkrishnan Memorial Annual Gold Medal for meritorious students, the annual scholarship of Rs. 2500 for securing the highest marks in BE 2nd, 4th and 6th semester, Neeladri Guha Memorial Gold Medal for the topper in MBA final year etc., are offered.

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at BIT students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
Remarks
my overall Experience At the college was good. They should organising more events and also regarding placements. During placements the number of companies is very less and the number of companies can be added more.
Entrance Exam
I got admitted into this college based on my cgpet score. I had scored around 510 rank. It Is one of the best colleges in the city and that is the reason I took this college. There was no interview process. I have always been inclined towards appliances and this decided to engineering. This college was also recommended to me by my family and friends.
Fees
fee for my course is around 70000 per year. As it includes other charges such as labs, workshop common gym, sports. I think the fee is at par with other colleges.
Placements
the placement of the colleges are great not so good and not so bad. The maximum package was around 4.5 lacs. Some of the major companies were TCS, Infosys, Tata
Hostel and Facilities
being a hosteller I can tell that the hostel facilities or not that good. I would recommend students to go for PG is nearby. I myself lived in a PG from the 2nd year and have paid around 5000 in rent and other charges. The reason I left the hostel was it lacks a lot of basic facilities as well as food of the messages not that good. Also PG gives you a lot of freedom as compared to hostel
Alumni
no we did not have any alumni meet. We are being told it is organised every year but till now we haven't got any. But the seniors are very helpful and understanding they are just like my big brothers
Faculty
Faculty of the college is very experienced well qualified some of them even have PhD in their respective subject. The best part about the faculty is that they do not just teach classroom learning but also provide practical learning. They are even available during the exam time.
Campus Life
the gender ratio of the campus is almost the same. Different departments organised different events such as quiz competitions debates. There also various clubs like photography club, Robotics club, club, the college provides extreme sports has ground for cricket and basketball.
Academics
the exams are not organised frequently so the student gets a lot of time to prepare. Also that time table is sent to us we before the exams so that we can plan accordingly
Internships
no the college is not providing internship and the students who are interested internship have to get it on their own. I did my internship with an E-Commerce company and was paid a stipend of 10000 rupees for 2 months. Once the internship is done the students also have to submit a report to the college and the respective teacher who then a prose and gives marks based on that. I would recommend every want to go for internship as they are the learning experience
Loans and Scholarships
does not provide any any scholarship but students can apply for the state and central scholarship programs. I did not take any loan and does to not have much knowledge about it
Remarks
My overall experience in the college has been great. Every college has some good things and bad things but the best part about it is most the things about the college are very honest which is the great things. The management is very supporting as well as the facility arte modern. The teaching method as well as the faculty is good and very experienced.
Entrance Exam
Since i wanted to pursue in mca i gave the pre mca entrance test. Admission was based on that. I chose this college as it is one of the best in my course.
Fees
The college of the college for me is not that expensive and can be manageable for a middle class family.
Placements
The college has been one of the best thins about my own course..TCS was one of the major recruiters for hiring also yeah and the college prepared students for interview with mock test so that when the companies come for recruitment there is not much issue.
Hostel and Facilities
The hostel is provided on sharing basis. The mess provides average food. Not much but all the basic facilities are covered by the university.
Alumni
College regularly conducts alumni meet where students have a chance to meet the ex students o fthe college and also provides an opportunity to seek their guidance.
Faculty
Faculty of the college is great and carry a lot of experience.. All that apartments are good and the college also had a great infrastructure. Every subject of the curriculum and keep us updated with all the training things in subject.
Campus Life
Colleges has a lot of extra-curricular activities going on which can sometimes affect your academic. Also they should work but only creating the lab facilities. Every now and then debate and other events are there which were very important part of my college life. Sports is a great thing in the college and the college puts extra emphasis on providing sports facilities.
Academics
Exam structure are conducted by swami vivekananda technical university and the college follows the semester system and the this includes internal as well as external exam. The exam wueations are within the syllabus. Exams are frequent and does not give us a lot of time.
Internships
Yes college destroyed internship. The company's for internship about it and known it and that is a lot choices to the students pick from.
Loans and Scholarships
Toppers of each department are provided with a scholarship amount. The scholarship is also offered to financially weak students.
Remarks
The college has its own share of good and bad things. The good thing about the college is the infra is very good as well as library. The the management is good but sometimes we have to go and strikes to make a things understand to them as they are not much discipline system.

for admission into the college i get to university based on jee mains. Post clearing that, i just called for casual interview but did not ask me much. The best part about the college is that it is full of facilities. At it is one of the best universities in my state itself that is the reason i chose this.

The fee structure is cheap. The college has a lot of facility is the infrastructure is great and there's greenery everywhere they put the money where it is required. The facilities are good. The fees for the collage was around 50k. The best part of the college is they provide scholarship and loan to students you cannot afford the fees and that is great.
Placements
The placement rate of the college is amazing and is close to hundred percent. Last year over 50 companies visited the campus and the highest placement went on to about 25 lacs. Companies like wipro, tcs, etc come for mass recruitment. The best part about to university is it also encourage students who want to pursue higher education and not just be settled with the job after their course is done.
Hostel and Facilities
the Hostels of the college are great with all the basic facilities like security which is 24 by 7, cctv surveillance camera, wifi, internet, etc. The rooms are also very neat and cleared regularly. The food of the mess is good and rooms are provided on sharing. i have paid decent amount for the hostel. It is a bit high though.
Alumni
the college has a huge alumni network of all night with over 5000 students already there. They are today in leading positions in top industries. They were very helpful when it comes to the placement season as they bring along companies in which there working. I had to opportunity to talk with some of the alumni and it was a great experience way i got to learn a lot about industrial. The senior also very helpful and help me put my time in the college
Faculty
They play a very important role in shaping up your career and as well as not just academic reasons but also as a key role in career guidance. They are very polite and helpful and even friendly with us most of them. They are also frank with us and keep telling us stories about their time.
Campus Life
the campus life is good but they're not much curricular activities to perform. There a lot of clubs in which students can participate in excel and showcase there hidden talent. The are also competitions in culture, academics and sports and student can participate. Gender ratio was almost equal and the crowd of the college is also great.
Academics
The exam structure here is pretty laid back and not that stressful. Never felt i was bored and it was easy to clear the exams if you are good and if you attend the classes regularly the clearing the exams will not be that difficult for you. Also make sure that you have the right attendance as if you are not and then you will not allowed to give exams.
Internships
Yes internships are provided to students. It is a great opportunity to work in top companies and understand how they work. No i did not get any stipend but i do not have any regret about this as i got to learn so much and it help me a lot during my placement season also therefore i would recommend student to go for as many internships as possible. It is very helpful wants the placement season starts.
Loans and Scholarships
The college provides scholarship facilities to various courses bsc, integrated msc biotechnology and some other programs. Also students who are constantly top ranking in semester as well as those do not have enough money and belong from poor background also put scholarships. i did not get any loans.
