B.m.s.college Of Engineering (BMSCE) Bangalore

BMS College Of Engineering is an autonomous institute under VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University). It is one the first private sector initiative in the education sector and was established in the region in the year 1946.

The college is located in Basavangudi, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It was established under the guidance of BMS Educational Trust and effectively became autonomous in the year 2008. It is basically a private university but is partially being funded by the government of Karnataka.

The campus is built in the antique background with green atmosphere and had 8 main buildings making available various facilities like workshops, laboratories, classrooms etc.

The college offers various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the Department of Bio-Technology, Chemical engineering, Architecture, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication and Industrial Engineering and Management.

This prestigious institute has been ranked at the number 18 by India Today. In 2016, the college was ranked 45 by the Outlook India and 67 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2018. The institute has been accredited with Grade A by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) for the year 2013-2018 and has also been accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation for all its courses).

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The College has on-campus hostel blocks for both boys and girls and also off campus rented housing arrangements for the students. The hostels have excellent amenities and provide separate dining halls for boys and girls.

The hostels have lifts, washing machines, reading rooms, water heaters, power backup, and an internet center. The hostels also have a special Allahabad Bank branch for the students.

College facilities

The College has its own separate library building with elevators. The library is fully automated and has all the necessary facilities such as numerous books journals, e-journals, CDs, Xerox facilities, internet access and a reading room.

The college has a fully furnished seminar hall and extensive sports grounds. There are special physical education instructors for both the boys and girls. The college has an excellent placement cell and Industry Institute Collaborations and an anti ragging cell.
