The Core Business School was set up in 2008 under the patronage of Aarseya Education Society with the aim of creating excellent leaders some of whom could perhaps become the next-gen visionaries. The lush-green campus is located at Near LNCT, Sanver Road, Bhonrasala, Indore – 453 555. The college offers 6-trimester AICTE-approved Post-Graduate Programs in Management with specializations in IT, Finance, HR and Marketing.

Admission Procedure

Candidates should appear for an essay writing test and a Personal Interview. The final selection is based on various scores as below:

1. MAT/CAT/ATMA/XAT//CMAT (25%)
2. Essay Writing (15%)
3. Personal Interview (50%)
4. Academic Background (10%)
5. Work Experience/Other Achievements (10%)

Eligibility

The applicant must be hold a minimum 3-year graduate degree with 50% marks and would also have appeared in at least one of the All India Management Entrance Exams such as MAT/CAT/ATMA/XAT//CMAT

Cut-Off

Minimum 50% marks at the Graduate level

Campus Facilities

CBS campus boasts of state-of-the-art facilities including well-equipped lecture halls and computer labs, a rich library and an E-library to access latest books and journals. Students have access to 24-hour WiFi facility too. The college also has excellent conference and tutorial halls, canteen and plenty of parking.

Hostel Facilities

CBS offers separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls. The hostel rooms are equipped with modern amenities such as geysers, water purifiers and air conditioners for a comfortable stay. All rooms have LAN connection for 24/7 network connectivity. There are around-the-clock medical facilities available very close to the campus. The spacious dining halls can accommodate 120 students where the mess staff delivers five meals a day including breakfast, morning snack, lunch, evening snack and dinner.

Placements

As a first step to making students corporate-ready, Core Business School has a robust internship program in which nearly all management students get placed in a many large corporate houses such as Bharti Artel, ING Vysya, Hitachi, Mahindra Finance, SABMiller, Whirlpool etc with stipends ranging from Rs.3,000 – Rs.11,000 per month.

Students from CBS are picked up many industries such as banking, manufacturing, marketing, operations, business development, quality assurance, supply chain etc. Some of the recruiters of CBS include Wills LifeStyle, Tommy Hilfiger, Radisson Group, Muthoot Finance, ITC, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank and many others. The salary packages are in the range of Rs.2 lakh to Rs.4 lakh per annum.

Teaching Methodology

CBS encourages its students to enhance their own thinking capabilities beyond their textbooks and find real solutions to problems. The teaching methodology inculcates analytical thinking among students through participation and case presentations. Students from different backgrounds are exhorted to bring in their life experiences and perspectives enabling other students to broad base their knowledge skills. There are seminars organized from distinguished speakers both from the industry and from academia helping students keep abreast of the emerging and latest trends.

Fee Structure

The academic fees for the 2-year PGDM course is Rs. 4,15,000 and the break up is as follows: One-time admission fee of Rs.30,000, Tuition fees of Rs. 3,75.000 payable in three instalments, and one-time student and Infrastructure Development Fees of Rs.5,000.

The hostel fees for the two years is Rs.158,000 and the break up is as follows: Accommodation cost of Rs.88,000 payable in two instalments and Mess Cost of Rs. 70,000 payable in two instalments.

For day boarders, the canteen and bus facilities are available at a total cost of Rs. 80,000 with the break up as follows: Mess Cost (for lunch and tea) is Rs. 32,000 payable in two instalments and Transport cost of Rs. 48,000 payable in two instalments.
