ABOUT:

The Dr C.V. Raman University is a world-class university situated at Kota, Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. It was established in 2006 on the 3^rd of November. It was established by AISECT Group, which is the sponsoring body of this institution. In Central India, this institution is the hub of Research and Education in various Professional courses from diverse fields like Arts, Law, Management, Naturopathy and many more. The regular courses are offered since 2006 but after 2009 the university has started been offering distance programs too. More than 85,000 students have graduated from this university.

APPLICATION AND ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

The admission process of distance courses is fully merit-based.

For admission in the distance courses of Dr C.V. Raman University there are two ways:

1. Online mode.
2. Offline mode.

ONLINE MODE:

The interested candidates can apply for the distance courses through the official website of the university or they can also directly reach to the registration page through the link below-http://www.aisectonline.com/Student/Login

Candidates are advised to read the information bulletin before registration.

First, the candidates have to register themselves and create their ID and Password on the website.

Then they have to fill up a form with some basic details like Programme applied for, Address, Caste, and Religion etc.

OFFLINE MODE:

The candidates can also apply through offline application for distance courses. The candidates can get the prospectus and application form from CVRU, Bilaspur, either by mailing request through the post with a DD of Rs. 150/- or they can collect it in person by paying Rs. 100/-.

If the candidates are filling the downloaded form through the website then a DD of Rs. 100/- is needed to be attached with the form before posting it to the university.

Candidates have to carefully fill that application form by themselves and they are advised to write their Name, Address, Contact number and Course applied for on the backside of the Demand Draft.

Documents Required:

1. Marksheet of 10^th/12^th.
2. Marksheet of other Qualifying examination as per requirement.
3. Caste Certificate.

5. Experience Certificate as per requirement.

FEE STRUCTURE:

The Institute of Open and Distance Education (IODE), Dr C.V. Raman University charges very nominal fees from its students for the various programmes offered. The fee details of different courses are given below in the table:

Also, the candidates have to pay Rs. 1000/- for Certificate courses and Rs. 2000/- for other courses as Exam Fee per year.

The fee is needed to be paid after the confirmation of enrolment in the selected course.

The fee is to be paid at the beginning of every Academic session, it can’t be paid in instalments.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

The CVRU also offers e-scholarships to SC/ST students according to the schemes authorized by Govt. of Chhattisgarh. Students enrolled in different programmes of IODE are eligible to apply. PLACEMENTS:

The university conducts a counselling session for the enrolled students in the final academic year of their course. This counselling session includes Study Tours, Industrial Visits, Personality Development Classes, Communication Skill Development and Guest Lectures.

DISTANCE MBA COURSE DETAILS:

• The distance MBA course is offered by the Department of Commerce and Management. Students who have graduated in any stream from any recognised University are eligible to apply for this course.
• Fee details are:
  • Admission Fee (per year) – Rs. 16,900/-
  • Tuition Fee (per year) – Rs. 13,000/-
  • Exam Fee (per year) – Rs. 2,000/-

Hence, the total Course Fee (per year) of the MBA is only Rs. 31,900/-.

• The eligibility criteria for Post Graduate Diploma courses is Graduated in any discipline from any University recognised by UGC.
• The Specializations offered for PG Diploma courses are in Marketing Management, Insurance and Risk Management, and Financial Management.
• The fee details of PGDM are as follows:
  • Admission Fee (per year) – Rs. 8,200/- (for Financial and Marketing management)
  • Admission Fee (per year) – Rs. 7,700/- (for Insurance and Risk Management
  • Tuition Fee (per year) – Rs. 6,000/-
  • Exam Fee (per year) – Rs. 2,000/-

Hence, the total Fee for PGDM course is either Rs. 15,700 or Rs. 16,200 (per year) only, depending upon the specialization of the course.
