Delhi University Distance MBA Fee Structure

It is to be noted that any college under Delhi University (DU) does not offer Distance MBA. Though, FMS offers Executive MBA (Evening) programs.

OVERVIEW

Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), DU offers 2 evening executive MBA courses with a minimum duration of 2 years. The course has an intake of 172 and 42 students in Executive Program and Executive Program (HCA) respectively.

FEES STRUCTURE

The fees are required to be paid in 2 instalments every year by the students in case of admission to MBA and MBA executive HCA programme. The annual fee is around Rs 50,000 with an additional Rs 1000 (library fee).

ELIGIBILITY

Below mentioned is the eligibility criterion for admission to the MBA programme:

  • A pass mark in Bachelor’s degree examination is mandatory for every candidate seeking admission for at least 3 years duration with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
    AND
  • After passing the Bachelor’s Degree Examination, they should also have at least 5-year experience as an executive or an administrator in a commercial, industrial or government establishment. The proof of their 5 years Full-Time experience shall be determined as on 1st April of the year of admission.

NOTE- Candidates should be either sponsored by his/her present employer or obtain a “No Objection Certificate” from his/her current employer.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

For the admission to MBA Executive and MBA Executive Healthcare administration) programs, the candidates have to register themselves by filling up an application form followed by the deposit of the requisite fees within the mentioned time.

There is a total of 172 and 42 seats in the MBA Executive and MBA Executive Healthcare administration) programs respectively including the PWD and CW category students. The candidates are then selected on the basis of the marks obtained from the series of tests which are mentioned below:

ACADEMIC GRADUATION 20 For every 5% mark, 2 marks will be given and above 40% might fetch 20 marks
EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE 30 On completion of every  year of experience 3 marks are allotted beyond 5 years, a maximum of 30 marks can be given
GENERAL ABILITY TEST 35 Test on management aptitude and general awareness on the date and time mentioned by FMS is required to be given by the student
PERSONAL INTERVIEW 15 Conducted individually for each candidate

Important Points

However certain points are required to be kept in mind during the admission process:

  • The marks obtained should not be rounded off
  • The experience component will only be accounted if the applicant has completed his year of service. The interview board will count the executive experience out of the total experience at the time of interview.
  • In case the application has grade points, it should be converted as per the respective university norms otherwise they might be based on the DU University scheme
  • All claims regarding qualification, experience etc. should be proved at the time of the interview
  • Original certificates should be produced during the interview
  • The structure and program might change as per the university norms
