IGNOU Distance Syllabus 2024
Introduction
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is the largest open university in the world. IGNOU caters the higher education needs of a large number of students across the globe with its distance certificate courses and degree programs.
The university offers distance education for a number of educational disciplines at affordable rates.
IGNOU holds the position of best and top Open University for distance learning amongst the top ten distance education universities of India. The university provides self-study resources and materials for students.
The learners are required to complete their assignments and submit it timely to earn a degree in any subject of their choice.
IGNOU Distance MBA Syllabus
The IGNOU Distance Learning MBA programme consists of 21 courses in total. These comprise of:
- All the courses in PGDIM (Eleven Courses) i.e. MS-1 to MS-11
- 5 courses from any one of the specialization streams
- Compulsory Courses (MS-91, MS-95) and any 1 elective course out of MS-92/93/94/96/97
- Project Course (MS-100) equivalent to 2 courses.

The Specialization Programme in Functional Areas currently consists of 5 streams of functional area P.G. Diplomas which are shown below. In order to qualify for a particular specialization P.G. Diploma, a student is required to successfully complete five courses in all from the specified stream.
