Celebrating 25 years, NIBM (National Institute of Business Management, Chennai), a unit of Kingster Education, is a upcoming online management institution in the country. All the courses under NIBM are online, providing students with the opportunity to continue their studies or work while pursuing a management certification. It is an ISO 9001:2008 certified educational institution with over a thousand students enrolling every year.

Admission and Application Procedure 

NIBM offers 3 masters degree programs online – 1 year MBA, 2 Year MBA and 1 year executive MBA.

Online Mode: Students are provided with an online application form which needs to be filled. After completing the application, the course fees in full needs to be remitted online via credit/ debit card or via NEFT.

Offline Mode: Students will need to provide a few details and download the free prospectus given here https://www.nibmglobal.com/prospectus/nibm_prospectus_application_form.pdf. The application attached to the prospectus should be printed and sent to the NIBM office (Contact details given below). The course fees can be transferred either by NEFT (Details provided upon online inquiries) or paid online via the portal here https://www.nibmglobal.com/payment.php using a Credit/Debit card.

NRI or Foreign students will have to transfer the fees via PayPal using the PayPal ID kingstereducation@gmail.com. No other mode of payment is accepted. Please contact the institution using the enquiry form on the official website for more details.

Note – There is no separate prospectus or application fee that has to be paid. No supporting documents are required during the registration.

Last Date of Application: There is no specific last date of application for admission into NIBM Online MBA as admission are done on a rolling basis and students can enroll any time during the year.

NIBM Online MBA Fee Structure

Total fee for online / distance MBA program offered by NIBM is Rs. 7,500 for one year MBA and Rs.16,000 for one year executive MBA. For two year MBA the fee is Rs. 22,000. An additional Rs.5000 is required for Fast Track Mode.

NIBM offers only Masters of Business Administration (MBA) courses in two modes – Normal Mode and Fast Track Mode. The course fees have to be paid in a lump sum along with the filled-in application form via the online payment gateway. No installment system of payment is allowed.

The duration of courses in the fast track mode is 6 months for one-year courses and 1 year for the two-year online course.

Note – Students living outside India need to pay additional costs towards courier expenses. An additional 15% of the total course fee is payable as service tax.

Scholarships

Since NIBM offers only online certification and degree programmes, there are no scholarships available for students, irrespective of reservation. However, individual candidates may take the online counselling sessions to check for any concession in fees.

Eligibility Criteria

For the one-year and two-year online MBA (General) courses, the minimum eligibility criteria for admission is Graduation/ DBA/ Diploma or equivalent from a recognized institute or university.

For the MBA (Executive) course, the applicant must possess a minimum of 6 months of work experience in addition to Graduation/ DBA/ Diploma or equivalent.

Age & Reservation Criteria: There is no upper age limit for admission to the online MBA programmes. Additionally, there is no relaxation in eligibility criteria or marks for reserved candidates.

Online MBA Course structure and specializations

NIBM offers online MBA (General and Executive format) with 90 specializations / electives. There are two modes of course completion – Normal Mode and Fast Track Mode. Course has with two semesters per year depending upon the duration. The following are the available programmes-

2. Two-year MBA – 2 Electives (1 year on Fast Track)
3. One-year Executive MBA – 2 Electives (6 months in Fast Track)

Sylllabus Outline: The following courses are mandatory for all MBA programmes for the 1^st semester –

1. Principles &Practice of Management
2. Human Resource Management
3. Financial Management
4. Marketing Management
5. Organisational Behaviour
6. Principles of Economics

The 2^nd semester includes International Law, Strategic Management, Business English (for 1-year course only) and Management Information System (for 1-year course only) along with one or two electives depending on the course opted for. Approval

NIBM is an autonomous institute that provides certificate courses for MBA candidates. Thus, institute has not been approved by AICTE or UGC – Distance Education Council. However, NIBM is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified institute, which is a benchmark for quality all over the world.

Important Dates

Admission to the online MBA programmes are done on a rolling basis. However, examinations are taken four times a year and hence candidates are advised to consult a student representative through the official website for admissions.
