Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) Distance Education Admissions 2018, Fee Structure, Eligibility

The Uttarakhand Open University was established by the Government of Uttarakhand in 2005. The university provides around 109 programs varying from certificate courses to post graduate courses. The university also has over 300 study centers spread all over Uttarakhand which are organized under 8 regional sectors of Roorkee, Haldwani, Uttarkashi, Dehradun, etc.


The following courses are offered by the university, across streams and levels of education. A majority of them are listed as follows-

Online admission facility is available for all the courses. The prospective candidate needs to visit the university website http://www.uou.ac.in/sc/11124 and fill the admission form. The fees can be paid only online through a payment gateway system, that is, through debit card, credit card or net banking. After the form submission, it is mandatory for the candidate to submit photocopies of documents at the study centers. They also need to provide their original documents for verification at the study centers.

For offline admissions, the candidates need to buy the university prospectus from the university itself or its study centers or downloading the university admission form from its website. Fill the form given at the end of the prospectus carefully, after reading the rules, regulations and guidelines to filling up the form. Similarly, download the bank challan and submit cash payment in bank. The admission form, bank payment receipt and photocopies and originals of supporting documents need to be submitted to the study centre for gaining of admission.

Postgraduate diploma in human resource management Graduation in any stream with 50% marks and admission through university entrance or CAT/ MAT score

The university offers an MBA program of two years duration. Students who have scored at least 50% at graduate or post graduate level or those who have scored 45% at graduate level and have 2 years’ supervisory/ managerial/ professional/ teaching experience are eligible for this course. 5% relaxation is present for the reserved categories. The admission will be granted on the basis of the entrance test conducted by the university or candidates’ MAT/CAT score. Entrance Exam form is available for Rs 1000 & the total fee for the course is Rs. 32,000/-.
