How to Get Prospectus?

The candidate can get the application form along with the Prospectus through both online and offline mode. Only Indian nationals can access online application process. Foreign nationals need to take application form in offline mode.

To get the application form along with prospectus through online mode the candidate needs to download it from here.

In this case of payment, the candidate needs to send duly filled up application form along with the DD (Demand Draft) of Rs1050 in favour of IGNOU, payable at New Delhi.

The candidates can get the application form at the sale counter of the regional centres or in IGNOU Head Quarter. In that case, they need to pay only Rs 1000 /. They can also get it by post. Those who get the application form and prospectus by post or in person they need not send DD as they need to pay the amount at the time of purchasing the application form along with prospectus.

For now, SAARC countries students IGNOU receives all fees in USD only.

The prospectus for MBA programme includes almost every details like duration of the courses, eligibility criteria of the courses, syllabus of the courses, programme structures etc. of IGNOU offered distance MBA programme and other management programmes. • MBA( Master of Business Administration)
• DIM(Diploma in Management)
• PGDIM(Post Graduate Diploma in Management)
• PGSDM(Specialization Post Graduate Diploma in Management)

PGSDM(Specialization Post Graduate Diploma in Management) : IGNOU offers 5 kinds of specialization options in diploma management programme.

These 5 options are-

1. Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management
2. Post Graduate Diploma in Operation Management
3. Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management
4. Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Market Practice

In this prospectus, the candidates can find 2 types of application forms. Form-1 is for MBA Entrance Test and Form -2 is for Admission procedure.

The candidates can find Form-1 in a separate envelope attached with the prospectus. Apart from these, certificate formats like Category certificate, Experience certificate etc. are also given in the prospectus. Moreover, in the prospectus, the candidates can also find ID card format and other important information like contact details of IGNOU officials and departments etc. regarding MBA and other management courses

MBA in Banking & Finance

IGNOU has started this MBA Banking & Finance by signing an MOU with the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance. The purpose of this programme is to enhance and upgrade the managerial skills of the in-service banking professionals.

Duration of the Course: minimum 2.5 years and Maximum 6 years.

Course fee: 31,500/

Eligibility criteria:

• The candidate needs to be a member of the Indian Institute of Bankers.
• The candidate needs to pass CAIIB examination conducted by the Indian Institute bankers.
• The candidate needs to work in banking sector/ other financial sectors
• The candidate needs to be graduate

This programme is a gateway for banking professionals to upgrade their qualification as well as soft skills.

MBA in Finance

IGNOU has started a certified executive MBA programme in Finance. In this regards, IGNOU has joined hands with NIIT, Imperia. The course is designed by NIIT and certificate is given by IGNOU. It is a part-time MBA program.

Duration of the Course: 18 months. It is a classroom-based program. Classes are held every week twice, Saturday & Sunday.

Course fee: Total Course fee is 1,80,000/

At the time of admission, the candidate needs to deposit 72,000/. Rest of the amount needs to be paid in 3 instalments of Rs 36,000/ during the course. Apart from these, the candidate needs to pay a 500/as application fee.

Eligibility criteria:

• The candidate needs to be graduate with minimum 50% marks. For SC/ST/OBC it is 45%.
• Minimum 3 years work experience
• The candidate needs to be working at the time of admission

To get into this course the candidates need to clear a national level entrance test conducted by NIIT. For more details, the candidates are requested to visit the official website of IGNOU, www.ignou.ac.in.

MBA in Human Resource

The fee structure for MBA Program ( Foreign nationals):

Foreign students are divided into 2 categories.

These categories are-

• Students from SAARC countries
• Students from NON-SAARC countries

Students from SAARC countries: Fee structure for this kind of students (3000*21=63,000)

Students from NON-SAARC countries: Fee structure for this kind of students (USD 250*21= USD5250)

The fee structure for other management courses offered by IGNOU:

• DIM(Diploma in Management): Total course fee is 7,500/
• PGDIM(Post Graduate Diploma in Management): total course fee is 16,500.

Total no. of subjects=11

Per subject fee=1500

Total course fee =1500*11=16,500/

• PGDM(Specialization Post Graduate Diploma in Management): Total program fee is 7,500

The fee for every single subject is 1,500/

Total no. of subject =5

IGNOU MBA Admission Procedure

Every year IGNOU conducts entrance test twice to filter a large number of MBA aspirants. After securing the cut off marks in OPENMAT(entrance test for MBA programme)the candidate can take part of the admission procedure. Like OPENMAT exam the admission procedure also takes place twice in a year for 2 academic sessions.1) 1^st in the month of November and the 2^nd in the month of May.

There are few steps in the admission procedure.

Step-1: The candidates need to check their eligibility criteria

Step-2: The candidates need to get prospectus along with application forms (1 &2) either from the official website,www.ignou,ac.in or from Headquarter/ Regional Centre / Study centre or by post.

Step-3: the candidates need to fill up the application form properly.

Step-4: The candidates need to send the application form to the headquarter along with the DD of Rs 1050/ drawn in favour of IGNOU, payable at New Delhi. Those who get the prospectus by post or in person they need not send DD.

Step-5: The candidates need to download Admit card/Hall Ticket from https://ignou.ac.in IGNOU uploads it in their official portal 10 days before the examination.

Step-6: The candidates need to appear in the OPENMAT exam and get the minimum cutoff marks

Step-7: The candidates can see the result on the official website. The original scorecard also sent to them by IGNOU.

Step-8: After qualifying for the OPENMAT exam the candidates need to fill up form 2 available in the prospectus and send it to the nearest Regional director along with following documents.

• Attested photocopy of all certificates.
• Original Scorecard
• Original Admit Card
• Category certificate(SC/ST/OBC)
• Experience certificate(Candidates without professional qualification)
• Duly filled up ID card

The candidates need to send a DD/Bank challan as programme fee drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at their nearest Regional Centre Address along with the above-mentioned documents by either speed post or registry post.

After verifying the authenticity of all the documents by the Regional centre they will give the admission to the candidates.

After getting admission the candidates start taking part in the counselling process.
