IIM Calcutta (IIMC), located in Kolkata, West Bengal, and was the first IIM to be established in India. It is the only business school in India, to be internationally accredited by all the AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. IIM Calcutta is a fully autonomous institute offering several postgraduate, doctorate programs, as well as a few Executive Management Education programs.

IIMC’s Executive MBA (formerly PGPEX) is the flagship one-year residential program offered to mid-professional executives looking to grow their careers with managerial and leadership skills. Course Structure

The course is delivered through a mix of lectures, case studies, and individual assignments. The course also includes an international project and a study tour extending to two weeks.

Students need to complete 25 compulsory courses over six terms. They also need to take 15 elective courses in terms 4,5, and 6.

The one – year course is divided into six terms. Term 1 and 2 deal with core subjects, Term 3 and 4 include more specialized courses, while Term 4, 5 and 6 offer elective courses.

Furthermore, each of the terms have a workshop by BE&C group. Also, the course is further spruced by the mandatory international study tour and project.

How to Apply?

The institute takes in a batch of 70 students for its executive management course. The candidate must apply online for the course at https://www.iimcal.ac.in/programs/pgpex/admissions/.

The candidate must then submit the duly filled application form along with the self-attested copies of the required documents before the last date.

Admission Procedure

Admission procedure is highly selective owing to the small batch size.

The institute gives specific undisclosed weight-age to the following components in the application:

• Letters of Recommendation from two referees who hold higher managerial or senior academic positions.

After the shortlisting of the candidate, candidates will be assessed through personal interview to judge their suitability for the course. The course aims to have a diverse selection of candidates from different backgrounds.

IIMC Executive MBA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission into IIM Calcutta Executive MBA (PGPEX) program is –

• The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree (10+2+3 system) in any discipline from a recognized university.
• At least 5 years of full time managerial/ professional work experience
• A valid GMAT score taken within 36 months of applying

IIMC Executive MBA (PGPEX) Fee Structure

The total course fee payable for IIMC Executive MBA (PGPEX) course is Rs.31,00, 000/- for the batch of 2022- 2024 and may be remitted in four installments throughout the course. Additionally a refundable caution deposit of Rs.20, 000/- also must be paid by the student.

The total course fee includes fee for tuition, study material, accommodation, study tours organized by IIMC, including airfare, VISA, medical insurance charges for international study tours, etc.
