Requirements for PETROCHEMICAL ENGINEERING

Under Graduate Eligibility Criteria

The student should have passed the qualifying examination of 10+2 from a recognized Board of Studies with an aggregate of minimum 45% marks for the General Category and 40% marks for the Reserved Category. The subject combination required in the qualifying examination is as follows:

Post Graduate Eligibility Criteria

Admissions are based on GATE (or any equivalent entrance exam) scores of the applicants. However, candidates without GATE score but possessing B.E./B.Tech. Degree or equivalent degree can also apply. The candidate will have to produce the GATE Score Card and the mark sheet of the qualifying exam at the time of admission.

The candidate should be a B.E / B. Tech Degree holder from the appropriate discipline from a recognized University/Institution. Candidate must have minimum 55% marks for the General category (6.25 CGPA on 10 points scale and equivalent) and 50% marks for the Reserved Category (5.75 CGPA on 10 points scale and equivalent)in the qualifying degree examination.

Research Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have

  • A Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline from any recognized University/Institution with at least 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters or the minimum equivalent CGPA(6.25 CGPA on 10 points scale) as defined by AICTE/UGC. A relaxation of 5% will be given to the reserved category.
  • Cleared the M. Phil coursework with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks for the General Category and 50% marks for the Reserved Category (or an equivalent grade on the point scale)
