About the University

The Central University of Orissa is situated in Koraput district of Orissa and was established in the year 2009. The University provides undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in the fields of Science, Commerce, Humanities and Technology. The University has and excellent infrastructure and provides it students with libraries, laboratories, canteen and hostel facilities.The university was established by the parliament under the Central Universities Act. It is one of 20 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan period to address the concerns of 'equity and access' and as per the policy of the Government of India.
