Dr DYPatil University is a deemed university set up in 2002. It was founded by Dr DY Patil, former governor of Bihar and a member of Indian National Congress. The vision of the university is to provide higher education as well as development in the healthcare and sports industry.

The university offers courses in the fields of Engineering, Management, Hospitality and Tourism, Medicine, Life Sciences and Nursing. It offers Bachelors, masters and doctorate courses. It also offers education through distance mode.

Application and Admission Procedure

The university offers various courses in different streams. Application criteria are different for different streams. The application forms for admission are available both online and offline. Students can download the form from the official website of the university.

For certificate and polytechnic courses, the student must hold a senior secondary certificate. For under-graduate courses, the student must hold a higher secondary certificate. Similarly, the students looking for post graduate admissions must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream.

For doctoral admissions, the student must have a master’s degree in the field of research.

For admission in engineering courses, the student must have a valid JEE (Main) or MH-CET score.

For admission in nursing courses, the student must appear for NAIET exam.

Admission to all the courses of medical stream namely – medical, dental, physiotherapy and ayurveda will be done on the basis of NEET (UG) and NEET (PG).

The university will conduct its own entrance exam for admissions to Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Education courses. Applicants must have a valid CAT score for MBA admissions. Admissions to M.Ch and DM are based on NEET-SS entrance exam.

All the admissions will be purely on the basis of merit for different streams prepared on the basis of the qualifying exam relevant to that stream.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The university offers hostel facilities to both girls and boys as single and double occupancy rooms. The hostels have common rooms for group studies and cafeteria for ease of work and leisure for its students. The rooms have good branded fixtures in place. The hostel staffs are highly proactive and supporting to the students staying in the hostel.

Apart from the regular clean spacious rooms the hostel is constructed with an adequate green area for offering the right environment to the students.

The hostel complex provides with the facility of a guest house for visiting parents or guardians. It is available on payment of charges per room on a daily basis of stay.

Besides accommodation the university has a highly modern state of the art sport facilities like badminton courts, squash court, swimming pools and world’s 6^th best stadium , all maintained by the sports council of the university.
