Jagan Nath University was established in 2008 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is established as a private university promoted by Jagan Nath Gupta Memorial Education Society which is active in the field of education for last 17 years. The university has two campuses – (1) Chaksu Campus and (2) Sitapura Campus. The university offers courses in information technology, science, management, hospitality management, mass communication, design, fashion, engineering, law, architecture, paramedical, and medical disciplines. The university is spread over an area of 40 acres. It has 42 lecture halls and 8 tutorial halls and 31 labs.
The university is approved by UGC and accredited by NAAC. The university also offers distance learning courses through school of distance learning.

Admission Procedure
There are courses specific eligibility criteria for application the various courses offered by the university. Interested candidates may check their eligibility from the university brochure available at the offcial website.
Candidates need to register themselves by filling up the ‘application form’ available at the Chaksu campus and Sitapura Campus of the university. The cost of form for UG courses is Rs. 250/- and for PG courses is Rs. 500/-.
Candidates may download the forms from the website and send the filled form with a demand draft of Rs. 250 for UG and Rs. 500 for PG courses respectively.
Candidates interetsed to apply online may do so by selcting the ‘ Apply Now’ option on the offcial website and fill the application form. Post this the form can be submitted after a payment thoruch credit/ debit or e- payment gateway.
Hostel and Facilities
The Jagannath University in jaipur has two campuses one in Sitapur and the other in Chaksu. The campus in Chaksu covers a land area of 50 acres and the campus at Sitapur covers a land area of 10.5 acres. There are transportation facilities available for the students from various parts of the city to the campus. There is a big library with automat LIBMAN software. There is availability of Health care center within the campus.
The University has two Boys Hostels and one Girls hostel at Sitapur Campus. And two Boys hostel ad one Girls hostel at Chaksu Campus. There are multi gym facilities, good canteens and separate mess for hostels. There is 24 hours water and electricity supply and there is provision of generators as well. There is availability of good internet connection within the campus.
The University encourages both indoor and outdoor games like football, volleyball, cricket etc. The University organizes regular Yoga and meditation sessions for its students. The University focuses on improving the language of the people by providing them proper labs and classes. Jaganath University organizes small events for the students, to encourage them to participate in various sports and events.

Eligibility
1) 3 year Law Degree Course - A candidate who has graduated in any discipline from a recognized University can appear for L.L.B. course
2) Integrated Degree Program - Candidate must have passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam or an exam cosidered to be equivalnt to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam can enrol for integrated degree program (LLB and a first degree in any other subject).
Candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree after taking up other courses through distance mode are also considered eligible for integrated degree course. But those candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree through distance mode or from open universities without any basic qualification are not eligible for admission into law courses.
Minimum marks for admission into law courses -
1) 40% for SC/ST candidates
2) 45% for other candidates
Remarks
The college is one of the best in the city. It can be compared to other top college sin the city. The college management wasn’t that good a few years back but now it is great.
Entrance Exam
For admission into the college the college conducts its own entrance test by the name of JUEE. Also the college accepts jee main scores. I got admitted based on the university entrance test. The difficulty of the exam was moderate and post clearing it I was called for an interview to the university. Once I cleared that I was admitted in the college.
Fees
The fee for the B.tech is comparatively less than other top colleges in the city. The total fee for the b.tech program is around 4.2 lakhs. Yearly candidates have to pay some other miscellaneous fee as well. Hosteller have to pay around 1 lakhs every year towards the hostel fee.
Placements
The college has over 90% placement record. Most of the students get placed. It has a dedicated placement cell which helps students during the placement season. Top recruiting companies are JP Morgan, Infosys, Dell, Amazon, IMB and more.
Hostel and Facilities
One of the best things about the college is the hostel. The hostel also has a mess where students get their all 3 meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)and even snacks. The food is at its best. I don’t think one could ask for better. Talking about the hostel, thehostel provides a lot of facilities and charges a descent amount of Rs 1 lakh per year. The hostel is safe and the rooms are well furnished.

The seniors are always available and are ready to help you in any of your issues.
Faculty
The faculties are great and use modern methods of teching for a better understanding. These include using projectors and presentation. They also focus on the practical aspects of the course and not just old written text. All of them are well qualified and most of them have their PHd’s.

The campus facilities of the university were way beyond my expectation. It has strict rules against any type of discrimination, be it gender or cultural. There are anti ragging rules as well. The college encourages the students to not just stick to academic regime but also explore extra curricular activities.

The college provide the option to either choose the college selected internship or any other of your choice. The college internships are mostly without a stipend. Some of the people I know have even been to foreign countries for internships.

The college is located in scenic beauty of jaipur. It is one of the best college sin the city. The faculty of the college is great and the college just doesn’t give you academic excellence but also develops you as an individual with high moral caliber.
Entrance Exam
I got admitted into this college just based on my class 12th marks ii scored 85% in my cbse board. I did not give any test. I wanted to do this course as it has a lot of scope and this is one of the best colleges in the state offering this course.

The placement are good here. Students who maintain a good score through out the score bad the highest packages. The average package is around 3-4 lakhs. Come of the companies are hcl, hdfc, ibm, wipro etc. The college also trains us for the interviews before placement.
Hostel and Facilities
The girls and boys hostel are located within the campus so the student does not have to spend any money on transportation. The rooms are spacious and there are recreation rooms on every floor. The college also provides the students with laundry facility. The rooms cleaned regularly. The food of the hostel is also ok.
Alumni
The alumni network of the college is quite strong and juniors are allowed to interact with various alumni of the college who were willing to interact during orientation. There is absolutely no ragging in the campus. The students’ council is always there to help as well as any senior juniors would like to approach.

The faculty of the college is very qualified. They help us with our doubts even during the exam time. Most of them have phds and all of them have master degree. They help with our project work and even arrange internships for us.
Campus Life
There no discrimination of any kind between students. The student ratio is almost the same and the college encourages students to participate in extra curricular activities. Various competitions and events are organized from time to time.
Academics
I really appreciate the lab practical of the college. They provide us the appropriate practical knowledge which is very helpful when it comes to actually working in the work. The exam season is hectic and the practicals are tough/

The college does provide internships to students. Students can even find their own internships if they want so. Most of them offer stipend but that varies as per the organization, i did my internship and got a stipend of Rs 10k for 2 months.
Loans and Scholarships
The college offers scholarship to meritorious students based on their class 12th score. I had score 85% and thus was eligible. I don’t know much about student loans.

The gender ratio of the college is almost the same with a bit high on the boys side. Various facilities are provided including Moot court, Huge library, Conference room, Playground, Canteen, Auditorium, Sports room.
Academics
For me the exam patter was pretty laid and easy. There was hardly any stress. Since I studied from day 1 I did not have any issue. The exams and the results were also on time.

The college provides the scholarship to limited number of students based on certain criteria such as the marks scored in the 12th exam and also keeping in mind the financial status of the family. Loan facility is also available.
