Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS) is a renowned premier institute of India established in 1993. The institute has been offering undergraduate and graduate courses in management and information technology for the past 27 years. It has remained in the list of the most elite B schools of India since it ranked on the 43rd spot in the list of top 50 colleges of teaching plus research management institutes in India in the first NIRF ranking in 2016.
The university is located in Rohini, a north-west part of Delhi and has earned several appreciations and accreditations from government bodies, industry associations, and media.
About the course:
The institute offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Management programme (PGDM) course which has been approved by AICTE, accredited by NBA and has been granted equivalence to the MBA course by the AIU. The course is a 2 year long programme designed to provide students an experience of the corporate culture. The programme specializes in marketing, finance, human resources, retail management, business analytics, operations, E-commerce and international business (students can choose a dual specialization in any two).

The total seats offered for these courses are 300 each year. 180 seats are reserved for PGDM, 60 seats for PGDM (IB) and 60 for PGDM (RM).

Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria for the courses offered by JIMS Rohini Institute are:
- Students must obtain a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Student must complete their graduation with a minimum of 50% in their chosen discipline (55% for PGDM general program)
- Graduates with relevant work experience or working professionals can also apply for the course

Admission Procedure:
The admission to any of the three programs is done on the basis of four parameters - entrance test, performance in qualifying exams, personal interview, and group discussions. The weightage for each of these are as follows:

Step 1 - Passing the shortlisting criteria:
JIMS Rohini institute has a specific shortlisting criteria. The students must obtain the minimum cut-off score (as mentioned in the section above). That is, students must pass any of the entrance tests (MAT, CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, or GMAT) and they must also obtain a certain percentage in their qualifying undergraduate examinations.
Step 2 - Obtaining Prospectus and Application form
Prospectus and application forms are available online on campus physically or can be obtained on JIMS Rohini’s website ( www.jimsindia.orghttp://www.jimsindia.org) at a cost of Rs.1000/- via cash/ demand draft/ credit card/ debit card/ online payment. The filled form should be sent with a demand draft of Rs.1000/- made in favor of “Jagan Institute of Management Studies” payable in Delhi. Note that students may apply for more than one program in the application form with no additional charges.
Step 3 - Fill application form and attach documents
Application forms filled either offline at JIMS Rohini’s campus or online will require certain documents:
- Photocopy of Matriculation Certificate specifying date of birth
- Photocopy of entrance test (MAT, CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, or GMAT) with marks.
- Photocopy of 10th, 12th and graduation degree/ mark sheet with details of the marks.
- Photocopy of Proof of Residence (Passport/Voter Identity Card/RationCard/Aadhar Card/ Driving License/ Electricity Bill/Telephone Bill/Bank Account Statement)
- If applicable, a demand draft of Rs.1000/- made in favor of “Jagan Institute of Management Studies” payable in Delhi
Step 4 - Submit application form
A total amount of Rs.1000/- can be paid online or via demand draft or to the institute directly (if filling the form offline). There is no last date for filling the application. However, the applications began on October 1st, 2021.
Step 5 - Personal Interview
After being selected after the first two parameters of entrance tests and performance in qualifying examinations, the student will have to give a personal interview. The student will be assessed out of 25 marks total. The criteria for assessment are appearance, communication skills, general awareness, academic knowledge, and vision and commitment. Each of the criteria carry a 5 mark weightage.
Step 6 - Group Discussion
Once a student is selected in the Personal Interview round, he/she must appear for a group discussion session. The student is now assessed out of 15 marks. The criteria, each carrying 5 marks, are ability to lead, clarity of thought and analytical skills, and communication skills.
Fee Structure:
The total fees of Rs.7,95,000/- for the PGDM program is paid in four different installments throughout the 2 years. The refundable fees of Rs.500/- is repaid towards the end of the course. In addition to this, a total of Rs.1000/- is paid for the application form. The fee structure for the PGDM batch of 2022-2024 was as follows:

Scholarships:
- There is a scholarship offered to CAT students attaining a minimum of 80 percentile in CAT exam as well as a minimum of 70% in 10th, 12th, and graduation. The scholarship is of Rs.50,000/- offered as a partial fee waiver in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th installment.
