Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) is the first autonomous engineering college in the Marathwada region, Aurangabad. MIT offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes for both Indian and International students. It is affiliated with Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. The engineering programmes offered by the Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) are approved by the AICTE. It is a part of the MIT group of institutions and technical institutes of Gramaudyogik Shikshan Mandal which was established in 1975.

MIT BTech Application Process 2022
Students interested in applying for BTech and BTech Lateral Entry programmes at MIT Aurangabad have to follow the steps given below to secure admission.

MIT BTech Eligibility Criteria 2022
The eligibility requirements that candidates should possess are given below.
BTech
- All the candidates must be Indians and should have passed the HSC (Class XII) exam of Maharashtra State Board of Higher and Secondary Education or its equivalent with an aggregate of at least 45% marks (40% for backward classes and physically handicapped of Maharashtra).
- Candidates should secure the above-mentioned minimum marks in Mathematics, and Physics as compulsory subjects and one of the optional subjects such as Biotechnology/Chemistry/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject.
- Candidates should have a valid score in the JEE Mains/MHT CET.
BTech Lateral Entry
- All the candidates must have obtained a Diploma in Technology/Engineering with an aggregate of at least 45% marks (40% in case of backward and physically handicapped candidates of Maharashtra) and English as the medium of instruction from AICTE approved college or institute.
- Candidates should have a valid JEE or MHT CET Score.
