Established in the year 1998, Sri Balaji University, Pune is one huge campus with four institutes. SBUP has postgraduate management courses (MBA) which it offers through the four institutes - Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM), Balaji Institute of Technology & Management (BITM), Balaji Institute of International Business (BIIB), and Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resources Development (BIMHRD). SBUP also offers various undergraduate and PhD courses.

Keep in mind:

• You can submit the standard application form for Sri Balaji University's four management institutes either online or offline for a fee of INR 1200.
• A registration number is issued after the application money has been successfully paid.
• At this time, there is no requirement that the test results be submitted with the application. These score sheets can be sent as soon as possible.
• Since SBUP only gives the admission exam a weight of 35% when compiling the merit list, it does not believe in any cut-off points.

Eligibility criteria

• Any university graduate with a minimum percentage of 50% (45% for SC/ST)
• Students who are currently in their last year of graduation and anticipate earning a minimum of 50% in their overall percentage may also apply for the MBA programmes. Higher graduation marks may be given more weight by the admissions committee.
• It is necessary for the candidate to take at least one exam out of CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT or MH-CET.
• If the candidate has not appeared for any of the above examinations, it is imperative that they do take SBUP’s entrance that is SBEST.

MBA Selection Process

The selection process of the MBA programme for Sri Balaji University includes:

• The university accepts scores of national tests like CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT or MH-CET.
• If the applicant has not appeared for any of the above mentioned tests, they are supposed to take the Sri Balaji Entrance and Screening Test (SBEST).
• Group Discussion: The examination on the basis of the scores of the tests will be followed by a group discussion. The discussion will last for 30 to 45 minutes judged by a panel of evaluators. It may include role-plays, case studies and extempore speeches.
• Personal interview: The candidates will be judged by an expert panel on a number of criteria, including their fitness for a particular specialisation.
• Essay writing: An important part of the selection process, here the candidate’s written and comprehensive abilities are put to test.
• After the interview, a merit list is taken out which includes the names of candidates who have been selected for admission. The admission also depends on the preferences given by the student. If the student is not selected for a course of their preference their name might appear on the merit list of another course.

MBA 2022-24 Fee Structure

The total fees to be paid in first year is INR 5,60,000/- and INR 4,65,000/- in second year. This fee excludes the hostel fee.

The SBUP’s placement office assists students in researching potential careers and the job market. The institution has created placement centres to streamline and improve the hiring process.

The placement rate stands at 100% for the batch of 2020-22 with the average package being 7.8 lakhs per annum and the highest, 19.25 lakhs per annum.

Scholarships

1. Prof. M.S. Pillai Memorial Scholarship - Two students will be nominated for this scholarship by a committee made up of business professionals who were Prof. M.S. Pillai's students and representatives of the Sadhana Educational & Empowerment Foundation. Through the scholarship, students are provided with a complete free-ship program
2. Bala Sir Memorial Scholarship - The candidates for this scholarship will be selected by a committee of university representatives, led by the vice chancellor. The "Uniformed People" category which includes members of the military, paramilitary, law enforcement, and their dependents will be given priority. 12 candidates, 3 from each of the 4 institutes will be selected. 50% of the entire fee will be the scholarship to these students.
3. Grateful GNR Scholarship - Only the children of JCOs and other ranks of serving or former members of the Indian Army's Artillery units are eligible for this scholarship. SBUP will cover the entire tuition for a total of 8 students - 4 boys and 4 girls - through this scholarship. A recommendation letter from the appropriate HQ must be obtained by the qualified candidate's parents, who must then submit it to the institute with the application. If there are many applications, the university committee will choose the top 8 students based on merit.
4. Dr. P. C. Shejwalkar Memorial Scholarship - The candidates for this scholarship will be selected by a committee of university representatives, led by the vice chancellor. Meritorious Economically Backward will receive particular consideration. A total of 12 students (3 each from 4 institutes) will be eligible to avail this scholarship. 50% of the entire fee will be given as a scholarship to these students.
