The University of Hyderabad is one of India's top universities, which is known for its brilliant faculty and expertise in research, is mostly focused on postgraduate study. The university is a public central research institutions located in Telangana and was established by the Act of Parliament (1974).

Hyderabad University MBA Course

The University offers a varied selection of courses including the renowned management courses. Graduates can choose from three full-time MBA courses with the duration of two years. The courses are mentioned below:

• Business Analytics

The seat intake for MBA for the courses is 60. The course is spread over four semesters .The first year of the programme is dedicated to core subjects.. An eight week internship is also undertaken by all the students pursuing these courses between the 2^nd and 3^rd semesters to provide practical exposure. During the second year, the students have to choose from the seven specializations offered by the university:

• Marketing
• Finance
• Operations
• Human Resources
• Entrepreneurship
• Business Analytics
• Banking

The university is one of India’s top ranking institution. For being No. 2 in the country, the Prime Minister of India awarded the university the PURSE Award. The university was also given the ‘A’ Grade by NAAC.

Application Procedure

The application procedure is completely online. For Admission, the students need to visit the official university website and fill out the online application form. After filling this form, an application fee has to be paid through the online payment gateway link mentioned in the application form. The students are requested to save the application number and transaction number of the payment. The documents that need to be scanned and attached with the form are mentioned below:

• Digital scanned copies of photographs and signature.
• Copy of Caste Certificate, if applicable.
• OBC Certificate, according to Government of India format, if applicable.

Selection Process

The selection process for Hyderabad University require students to have good percentile in their CAT. The percentile should either meet the cut off or exceed it. The selected candidates will be called for group discussions and interviews.

Fee Structure

The course fee for MBA spread over four semesters is INR 2.32 LPA.

Eligibility Criteria

• A minimum percentile of 60% in any bachelor’s degree of minimum three years recognized by AICTE/UGC/The Association of Indian Universities.
• Students in their last year of college can also apply if they complete their examinations before June, 2022.
• A good percentile in CAT is needed.

Information & Instructions for Shortlisted Candidates

• If there is a tie in the entrance exam scores after the first criterion, it will be broken at the time of admission by using the criteria listed below:

1. Entrance Exam Marks
2. Marks Obtained in the qualifying degree. If the final result is not available, the preceding semesters’ marks would be considered.
3. Degree Exam/Public Exam marks immediately obtained before the qualifying degree exam.
4. Results of the subsequent lower public examination.

• Before 2:00 PM, May 6, 2022, all candidates who have been shortlisted for admission counseling must upload a scanned copy of their credentials to the website (http://admissions.uohyd.ac.in:824/) The only acceptable formats for upload are pdf and jpg.
• A payment of INT 50,640 towards the admission fee for the first semester needs to be done by the candidates.
• For SC/ST candidates with parental income less than INR 2 Lakhs, should pay INR 6,530 based on their recent income certificate. Incase the income certificate is not available, the candidate needs to pay the full fees which can be reimbursed after the submission of the certificate.
• A payment of INR 6350, is required by all PH candidates.
• Before the deadline, the shortlisted candidates should pay the required admission cost. After the grace period, which ends at 11:59 PM on June 5, 2022, the gateway for uploading certificates and paying fees will be frozen, and no additional opportunities will be available.
• Candidates under reservations- SC/ST/PH/Wards of Defense Personnel, need to upload their certificate in the format given by the competent authority to support their claim. If the certificate is not issued their candidature would be rejected.
• OBC and EWS candidates need to submit their recent certificates in the format prescribed by the Government of India to support their claims.
• No extension of the aforementioned date will be given for the submission of any document. The same seats will be carried over to the following rounds if they are vacant in the current round.
• Following the evaluation of the candidates' academic records and other supporting documentation, as necessary, Provisional Admission will be awarded to the candidates in the order of merit.
• If a candidate paid the money but was unable to obtain a seat, the admission fee will be reimbursed to the designated bank account supplied after the University Admissions 2022 deadline.
• In all cases involving disagreements and unanticipated/contingent events, the University's decision is final. Candidature disqualification and cancellation will result from any sort of canvassing or improper behavior.

Reservations

• For SC candidates, in accordance with the Government of India, 15% of the seats would be reserved.
• 7.5% of the seats would be reserved for ST candidates.
• 27% of the seats are reserved for OBC Candidates.
• For Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates, 10% of the seats are reserved.
• For Differently Abled candidates, up to 5% of the seats are reserved.
• 5% of the seats are also reserved for Wards of Defense Personnel.

Placements

The University of Hyderabad has their own Placement Guidance and Advisory Bureau to expedite the recruitment of students for their final placements. The highest package offered was INR 17.7 LPA. The average package offered is 3.5 LPA.  More than 200 companies visited the university to recruit the MBA students. These companies include Deloitte, EY, TCS, ICICI Bank, Jaro Education, Byju’s, Airtel, Dell and many others.
