The admission process to PSIT for the MBA course shall be based on the rules shared by the Academic Council of Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. Further, the admission process shall be dependent upon the Uttar Pradesh Government’s notifications.

Aspiring candidates can be admitted to the Institute through counselling or management seats. Here are details about the same:

• 85% of seats in the MBA program will be through UPCET.
• Rest 15% are under management quota. Here too the institute prefers those with a valid score in UPCET.

It should be noted that the Academic Council have the authority to repeal or amend the eligibility criteria laid down in Clause 2.1 according to the AICTE guidelines. The candidates taking admission to the MBA program shall apply on the given form through their respective Institute/college to the university's registrar. The candidates should have all the required documents such as the transfer certificate/migration certificate (in original) along with self-attested copies of the essential academic certificates.

PSIT Kanpur MBA – Selection Process 2022

The selection process will involve counselling carried out by AKTU, that is, Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University. The aspiring candidates shall be selected based on the score/rank/percentile in CMAT and UPCET both with the first preference being given to CMAT.

PSIT Kanpur MBA – Eligibility 2022

The specific admission criteria for aspiring MBA students are given below:

• Applicant should have completed three years of bachelor's education or comparable qualification with a minimum of 50% marks in Graduation. The degree obtained should be from a recognized University.
• In the case of ST/SC candidates, a relaxation of 5% on a minimum Bachelor's is given.
• According to the eligibility criteria for direct admission in case of vacant seats, the candidate should have at least three years of bachelor's degree or comparable qualification with a minimum of 50% marks in Graduation from a recognized University. The candidate should also have obtained at least 60% in 10^th and 12^th grade. In case of any alterations in this rule, the candidate can get updated from the notifications by AICTE/University/Govt. of Uttar Pradesh.
• A person interview/Visume is a short video of the candidate's introduction followed by an online interview.

Registration for Counselling

Aspiring candidates can register for counselling for the purpose of admission through online mode by filling out the application form given on the website https://uptac.admissions.nic.in/. There is no age limit for individuals taking admitted to the Counselling process. The fee for registering for counselling is INR 1000. Candidates are also required to upload essential documents online while filling out the application form. These documents can include scanned images of the latest clear coloured photograph and signature.

Seat allotment shall be done for candidates based on merit, order of preference and availability of seats. After the given seat has been allotted to the candidate, there cannot be any change in the Branch/institution.
