Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) was established in 1984 as Vellore Engineering College by G. Viswanathan in Vellore, India. The School of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE) offers the 2-year MCA programme to all eligible students that focuses on skills required for candidates to excel in the broader domain of Information Technology. VIT MCA Application Process 2022

Candidates are required to apply for MCA admissions at VIT through online mode only as there will not be any OMR application form and the steps that candidates have to follow to apply for MCA admissions at VIT are given below.

• Candidates should enter the New User Page and register themselves with all the mandatory details.
• Candidates have to verify their mobile number and registered email ID to get a password from the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). Candidates have to keep their email ID and password till the completion of the admission process.
• Candidates have to fill out the MCA application form and its cost is Rs. 1,200/- and the application fee paid by the students for the MCA programme will not be refunded.
• Candidates have to complete the MCA application fee payment online using a Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking/Paytm Mode.
• Candidates should upload their Photograph and Signature in the MCA application form of the VIT.
• Candidates are also required to upload consolidated mark sheets for all semesters and pre-final year students can upload mark sheets up to their 4^th semester.
• Also, candidates have to upload their Aadhar Card and candidates can store the filled-in MCA application form for future use.

VIT MCA Selection Process 2022

The MCA admission process of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) involves the following steps.

• Candidates have to apply for the MCA admissions at VIT by visiting the official website - http://www.vit.ac.in/ and paying the application fee of Rs. 1,200/-.
• Candidates have to register for VITMEE, a computer-based test.
• Candidates who are short-listed will be published on the official website of the VIT or personal SMS will be sent to the students for online counselling.
• Students shortlisted for MCA admission at VIT have to choose their campus preference.
• Selected students are required to make an advance payment of Rs. 1 Lakh and those students who fail to pay an advance fee before the deadline will not be considered for MCA admissions at VIT.

VITMEE

• VITMEE exam will be conducted in online mode for all eligible students and it contains objective-type questions.
• The question paper of the VITMEE will be available in the English language only.
• The VITMEE contains a total of 100 questions of which 80 questions will be related to the technical subject chosen while the remaining 20 questions will be from English.

VIT MCA Eligibility Criteria 2022

The eligibility requirements that candidates should possess to become eligible for MCA admissions at VIT are given below.

Nationality

• All the students should be resident Indian nationals and must have graduated from institutions or universities located in India.
• NRI, PIO and Foreign nationals have to apply separately by visiting the International Relations tab on the official website of the VIT.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed a 3-year degree in B.Sc (Computer Science/IT), BCA with Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or the level of Graduation with an aggregate of at least 60% marks or first class in the qualifying exam.
• Also, candidates are required to have a consistent record in Class X and XII.
• Students appearing for the final year exams in the current year can also apply for MCA admissions at VIT. However, candidates should complete the final year/semester exams before the VIT counselling.
