About the Institute and Course

BIITM, that is, Biju Patnaik Institute of Information Technology and Management Studies aims to attain brilliance and status as a business school that develops leaders and managers who shall successfully shape the future world. The Institute offers a 2 years full-time MBA course that is approved by AICTE and affiliated with BPUT, Odisha.

Admission Procedure

The admission and reservation policy for this course is specifically managed and executed by the OJEE, that is, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination under the Policy Planning Board of the Government of Odisha according to the guiding principles decided by the Honourable Supreme Court of India.

At the time of reporting after the admission to the MBA course according to OJEE 2018 allotments, the following documents need to be submitted by the candidate:

• OJEE allotment letter
• Photocopies of passing certificates, and examination mark sheets of 10^th and 12^th grade that are self-attested. The documents shall also include a +2 & +3/equivalent examination mark sheet along with other pertinent educational qualifications.
• Original college leaving certificate
• Anti-raging affidavit that is signed by the student as well as guardian/parent.
• The undertaking by the student as per the format given by the Institution. The undertaking should be signed by the student and guardian/parent.

Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of the rank card obtained in the following examination - CAT/MAT/ATMA/OJEE/XAT/CMAT.

Fee Structure

The fee structure for the 2 years MBA program is decided as per the norms. Fee details are given below in points:

• The MBA fees for each year are INR 1,20,000/-
• The total fees for the MBA program are INR 2,40,000/-
• The first-year fee for IMBA is INR 40,000/-

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the 2 years MBA program at BIITM are given below:

• The candidate should have completed the bachelor's degree exams for at least 3 years period from any recognized University as defined by the AICTE/UGC or the any University of Odisha.
• The candidate should have attained a bachelor's degree in technology/engineering/pharmacy exam of at least 4 years period from any recognized University as defined by AICTE/UGC.
• The applicant should have attained at least fifty per cent marks in the qualifying exam. The minimum marks required for candidates belonging to SC/ST category are forty-five per cent.
• The candidates who are appearing for their final degree exam are also eligible for applying for the entrance test.

It should be noted that there is no age limit for getting admission to BIITMs’ 2 years full-time MBA program.

Specialization

The 2 years MBA program is divided into 4 semesters wherein the aim of the first two semesters is to give students exposure to various subjects of business studies. In the third and fourth semesters, students get the opportunity to pursue their minor and major specializations along with some core courses. The specialization is offered in the following subjects:
