The Times B-School has ranked Lloyd Business School in the 30th position in all of India. The Lloyd Business School (LBS) was established in 2004 by Mr. Manohar Thairani in Noida. Since then it has earned itself a good name for its business and management courses especially for its MBA program. The foundation of Lloyd’s MBA program is :Concept, Application and Synthesis. Here the students don’t just learn concepts but they learn to apply these concepts in the real world. The MBA course at LBS is a two-year course where one can specialize in any one of the following fields: Operation, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and IT.

Admission Procedure:

Candidates have to fill an application form to register themselves for the MBA course. The application form is available on LBS website or at the admissions office on campus. To register yourself follow the following procedure

Step 1: Registration I: The candidate must first register themselves on the admissions portal by filling in their name, course of choice and contact details

Step 2: Registration II: The portal will then take you to a dashboard where you will have to fill in details about yourself and your parents along with your qualification details

Step 3: Application fee payment: Candidates are required to pay a application fee of Rs.600 for the MBA course. This can be done through by visiting the campus and paying cash or through demand draft in favour of Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology payable at New Delhi. Those students who cannot visit the campus can pay through NEFT. Details of NEFT are given below:

Step 4: Booking slots for GDPI: Here the candidate is required to select a date they are available for the Personal Interview and Group Discussion. Ensure you are selecting a date and time that is suitable for you. If you later wish to postponed or preponed the date, email the university specifying the date that is suitable.

Step 5: Documents Submission: The next step is uploading of documents, here you have to ensure you have all these documents scanned and ready to upload. The following is a list of documents that you will be required to upload

  • Photograph (jpeg)
  • Signature (jpeg)
  • 10th  marksheet (pdf)
  • 12th marksheet(pdf)
  • UG degree (pdf)
  • Entrance exam scores if not applying for L-MAT
  • Copy of Aadhar Card (pdf)
  • Migration certificate from previous institution (pdf)
  • Caste certificate if applicable (pdf)

 

The last date to apply for the new academic year is the 3rd of August 2022.

Selection Process

The selection process for LBS takes place in two stage.

Round I: Academic records: Before applying for Lloyd, a candidate is required to attempt any of the following comman entrance test: GMAT/CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA. If the candidate hasn’t written any of these exams or don’t have a valid score in the entrance exams, they also have an option to write the L-MAT(Lloyd Management Aptitude Test) exam which is conducted by the university on campus. The L-MAT follows a similar pattern to CAT (Common Admissions Test) , It test the student’s quantitative abilities, logical reasoning and English language skills. Note the exam will be conducted on the campus itself, it is not an online exam

Based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exams and past academic records, they will be selected for the next round that is the PI and GD around

Round II: PIGD: Those candidates who cleared round one will only be allowed at give the personal interview and the group discussion. This round will decide whether a candidate get into the university  

Fees

The total fee for the MBA course at LBS is Rs.3, 00,000 for two years. This fee is inclusive of the tuition fee, the study material, uniform and any other requirements of the student throughout the course of the program. The fee has to be paid in installment for each semester. The following table shows the new fee structure for the new academic year 2022-23:

The School also has accommodation on campus, the cost of which is not included in the tuition fee. The hostel fee is variable depending on the choice of room. The campus offers AC as well as Non-AC rooms. The cost of the rooms also depends upon the number of students sharing a particular room. The hostel also offers option of a single room for a student. Eligibility Criteria:

Coming to the most important aspect of the admission process and that is the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria is different for the general and the ST/SC class. For those students who come under the ST/SC category, ensure you have a caste certificate. The eligibility criteria for LBS are:

For General and OBC:

  • The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from an university that is recognised by the UGC/AICTE
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 50% or equlivalent CGPA
  • Those candidates who are in their final year of graduation and are yet to appear for their final exam can also apply
  • The candidates must meet up with the eligibility criteria of the common entrance test (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT) they plan to give

For ST/SC

  • The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from an university that is recognised by the UGC/AICTE
