IPU BTech
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), previously known as Indraprastha University was established as a teaching-cum-affiliating University in Delhi in 1998. It is a state university established by the Government of NCT Delhi. Named after the ancient mythological city of Indraprastha, the university was renamed as Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) in 2001 after the 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Singh.

IPU BTech Application Process 2022
Students can apply for BTech and BTech Lateral Entry admissions at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University through the ways given below.
BTech
Students can secure admission at GGSIPU BTech programmes by applying for JEE Mains and the details are given below.
- Go through the official website of the JEE Mains and complete registration for the JEE Mains by entering all the requisite information.
- Continue towards JEE Mains application form filling after registration and fill it out with all the necessary information.
- Upload a scanned image of your recent and coloured passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed size and format.
- Now complete the fee payment process for the JEE Mains exam using Net Banking, Credit or Debit Card.
BTech Biotechnology and BTech Lateral Entry
Students have to apply by following the steps given below to secure admission for the BTech Biotechnology and BTech Lateral Entry programmes.
- Go through the GGSIPU's official website and press the "Admissions Tab". Select the "Online Admission Form" from the drop-down menu.
- Read the instructions thoroughly, click on I agree and proceed towards registration.
- Enter the details of the programme and register yourself with your name, email ID, mobile number and other information, choose CET and click on the submit button.
- Now, you will receive the application number, user ID and password and also a link to fill out the application form.
- Fill out the CET application form for BTech Biotechnology and BTech Lateral Entry programmes with personal, and academic information and address.
- Upload the requisite documents and pay the fee mandated by the University via online mode.
IPU BTech Selection Process 2022
Admission to the different BTech programmes at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will be provided through the following procedure.
BTech
- All the students should appear for the JEE Mains Paper 1 conducted by the NTA.
- The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) will not conduct CET for admissions to the BTech programmes but it uses the merit of JEE Mains Paper 1.
- The admissions for BTech programmes at GGSIPU will be based on rank/merit in the JEE Mains.
BTech Biotechnology
- Candidates should appear for the CET exam conducted by the University and they will be selected for admission based on their rank/merit in the CET.
BTech (Lateral Entry)
- Candidates should appear for the CET exam conducted by the University and they will be selected for BTech Lateral Entry admissions based on their rank/merit in the CET.
IPU BTech Fee Structure

IPU BTech Eligibility Criteria 2022
The eligibility requirements that candidates should possess for applying for BTech admissions at IPU are given below.
BTech
- Candidates must have passed Class XII of the 10+2 pattern of CBSE or its equivalent with an aggregate of at least 55% marks in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics subjects to the condition that the candidate must pass each subject separately.
- Also, candidates must have English as one of the subjects in their qualifying exam.
BTech Biotechnology
- Candidates should have passed Class XII of the 10+2 pattern of CBSE or its equivalent with an aggregate of at least 55% marks in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology and candidates must pass each subject separately.
- Also, candidates should have English as a subject in the qualifying exam.
BTech Lateral Entry
- Candidates must have completed a three-year Diploma in Engineering or Technology with an aggregate of at least 60% from a recognized university or institute. Or
- Candidates who have passed BSc with an aggregate of at least 60% marks with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized university or institute.
