Punjab University

In the Punjabi province's capital, Chandigarh, is home to Panjab University (PU), a state-run institution of higher learning. It was founded in 1882, and the AICTE, UGC, and NAAC have all given it their seal of approval with an "A" grade. Many UG, Integrated, PG, Executive, Diploma, PG Diploma, Certificate, and Research Level courses are available at PU. The MBA programme is a two-year, full-time programme that requires a minimum graduation grade point average of 50%. Total intake for MBA is 60. The application process is available online.

How to apply

• Register online by clicking the above-mentioned link.
• Login using the Login ID and password and proceed to fees payment.
• Application fee of INR 3250/- for UR category and INR 1625/- for reserved category must be paid. The fee is non-refundable. Fees can be wither paid by online or via challan. Take a printout of the fee challan for payment by that method, then deposit the fee at any branch of the State Bank of India at least one day after the fee challan was printed.
• Fill out the form after a successful payment. Upload scanned photo and signature, and fill out the other required fields. Carefully fill out each section (Profile, Categories and Academic Qualification), then lock each section. After locking a section, you won't be able to make changes to the data there. Form submission deadline: February 7, 2022
• Take a printout of the application form. Afterwards, one can either mail it or deliver it to the address listed on the printout along with the necessary supporting documentation.

Selection Procedure

The admission process is completely based on merit.

Step 1: application review

Submitted applications of candidates are reviewed and short-listed for group discussion. Selection depends upon graduation scores and entrance exam score. Accepted entrance exam is CAT/PU MET/MAT/ CMAT. Exams are given offline. There are 200 questions on the 2-hour test.

Step 2: Group discussion

Candidates will be called in for group discussion in-case they secure a minimum of 10% CAT score for general category and 5% for reserved category.

Step 3: Personal Interview

A notification regarding the dates of the GD and PI will be sent to the candidates' registered email addresses. In this situation, no other communications are permitted. Any candidate's application will be withdrawn if they fail to show up for either the GD or the PI portion of the process.

Weightage of the individual steps are-

Upon the grounds of their merged aggregate score in the CAT, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview, the final merit list of all the candidates called and who appeared for GD & PI will be compiled category-by-category.

Further, students can proceed for fees payment.

Fees Structure

For the academic year 2022–2023,

The tuition for MBA, MBA (IB), and MBA (HR) was Rs. 19785 per year for the first year and Rs. 19,785 per year for the second year (2023–2024)

The tuition for MBA (EP) was Rs. 1,05,105 per year for the first year and Rs. 1,05,105 per year for the second year.

For NRI, INR 2,20,000/- per annum.

Miscellaneous charges are excluded from the above calculations.

Eligibility criteria

• A Bachelor's degree with at least 50% overall (45% for SC/ST/BC/PwD) in any of the university's academic fields or in a degree from another university that the Syndicate has recognized as being equivalent.
• a passing grade on the final exam administered by one of the following organizations: (a) the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England; (b) the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England; or (c) the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
• AMIE having at least five years of research, teaching, or professional experience, and actually completed the diploma examination with a score of 60 percent or higher.
• In the verbal, quantitative, logic and data interpretation, and/or any other component that may be added later at any stage to the CAT 2021, candidates must receive a minimum score of 10% (5% in the case of SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates).

Scholarship for SC/ST

Students who have received at least 50% of the grade or an equivalent percentage will be given a scholarship. the yearly salary of whose parents or guardians from across all references does not surpassed Rs. 2.50 lakh in the most recent final examination.
