Jaipur National university is a private university established in 2009 in Jaipur, rajasthan, India.It offers both tradional and distance programs. The School of Distance Education and Learning(SODEL), Jaipur National University has one of the top ranked programs in Rajasthan. It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses to aspirants who cannot attend regular sessions.  It has around 55 disciplines spread across 13 schools, with total enrollment of 7000 students.

Admission and Application Procedure

The admission procedure for both Calendar Year (January) and Academic Year (July) at Jaipur National University – DEC consists of a five-step process:

  1. Free counseling sessions are available for applicants on 1800-266-8050 (toll-free)
  2. Submit required documents through the application portal or send them by email/post for verification.
  3. Pay the required course fees either in full or in installments.
  4. Accept offer of admission.
  5. Receive student ID and study materials within 7-10 working days of accepting admission.

Application Fees: The application has to be accompanied by Rs.500 processing fees.

Mode of Payment: The application fees can be paid in Cash/Cheque/DD at the nearest Information Centre or by Challan/Credit/Debit Card when paid online. The Demand Draft needs to be in the name of ‘Jaipur National University’ payable at Jaipur. For other modes of payment as well as details about the Challan mode, please contact the university.

  7. Migration Certificate (in original)
  8. Duly-attested photocopy of photo ID proof (PAN Card/ Driving License/ Passport/ Adhaar Card/ Voter ID
  9. Address proof & Passport (for NRI applicants only)
  10. Payment Proof (Challan/Online Receipt)
  11. Service Certificate (for active Defense Personnel)

Last Date for Application: Please contact the university through the official website for dates. Usually, deadline for applications are two months ahead of start of the Academic/Calendar Year.

Fee Structure

Application Fee: The application fee is Rs. 500 and the examination fee is Rs.1800 per year for a particular course.

Process of Making Payment: Application fees are paid via the university’s portal here – Students are advised to select Demand Draft as mode of payment in the name of ‘Jaipur National University’ payable at Jaipur.

Refund Rules: Candidates are eligible for refund only if the cancellation is requested within 15 working days. If requested within the time frame, 25% is deducted and the rest of the course fees is deducted provided the study materials are all returned. (50% if study materials are not returned).

Course Fees: The course fees vary according to the programme opted for. MBA, MCA, PGDCA and Diploma in Management courses cost around Rs. 21800 per semester. MA(English), BBA, BCA, B.Sc programmes cost around Rs. 16000 per semester, depending on the duration of the course. When do the fees need to be paid? The fees need to be paid once the student receives an offer of admission. It can be paid either in full or in installments over the semesters.


The School of distance Education and Learning does not offer any scholarships. Please contact the university if merit-based or need-based scholarships are available.

Eligibility Criteria 

The minimum eligibility criterion for admission to Bachelor’s degree is 10+2 years of education. For Masters/Postgraduate courses, including MBA, the criterion is graduation in any discipline.

Age & Reservation Criteria: There is no upper age limit for admission to any of the programmes. No relaxation for reserved category students is available.

Distance MBA Course 

Eligibility Criteria: Graduate in any discipline and must pass the examinations conducted by JNU, Jaipur conducted on-site.

Admission Procedure: All documents along with the Rs.500 application fee must be submitted online. All submitted documents must be in English language. In case of documents in a regional or foreign language, they must be accompanied by a translation from a recognized Government authority. The annual programme fee for the course is around Rs.21,800(Inclusive of admission and examination fee)

Course Duration: 2 years. The first year is common for all specializations and includes subjects for general business information. For the second year, detailed study on the chosen subject is taken up. It is advised that the candidates choose the specialization based on career interests.
