The faculty of Management Studies, affiliated to Delhi University is by far the best institute in the city offering Executive MBA in the part time mode, and is one of the most reputed institutions in the country. The institute specifies a more rigorous eligibility criteria, and requires that the student must be a graduate with a minimum aggregate of 55%, and have a working experience of at least 3 years, and must be sponsored by his employer. Other institutions, while having similar eligibility criteria do not always require sponsoring from the employer. Executive MBA Eligibility

Every Institute of the city provides its own specific eligibility criteria and while the students are advised to understand the eligibility criteria of each college, the generic criteria is usually as follows:

Placements

Many Universities have very good placements in Delhi; Amity University has placements from a multitude of companies including American Express, Alcatel, Adobe Systems, BNP Paribas, Blue Star, Honda Motors, Coca Cola, HSBC, Wipro, Sony India, Siemens, etc. FMS requires that the employer company approve the student’s course at the institute, and therefore does not offer any placements to Executive MBA students. IIFT however offers some of the best placement opportunities with a highest package of 24 Lakhs per annum and an average package of 14.32 Lakhs per annum, in very reputable companies.

After the successful completion of the course, IMI has the highest CTC salary of INR 16,50,000. As mentioned in the placement brochure of IIFT, the recruiters can include HCL, Microsoft, Cipla and many more.

Duration of executive MBA

The duration of an executive MBA varied from 18 months program to 3 years program. Institutes such as the Faculty of Management Studies offer a two-year program whereas IMI, Delhi, IIFT etcetera offer an 18 months program spanned over 3 semesters. IIT Delhi offers three years executive MBA program spanned over six semesters.

Fee Structure

The fee structure ranged from approximately one lakh course fees at Indira Gandhi National Open University to about 11.70 lakhs course fees at IIT Delhi.

Executive MBA Institutes in Delhi

Faculty of Management Studies

• FMS is a prestigious Institution and a part of the University of Delhi. It offers both MBA Executive evening program and MBA Executive Health Care Administration (MBA-HCA) Evening Program.
• The total seats for MBA executive program are 200 and for the MBA-HCA program 50.
• The eligibility criteria require a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative score of 45% score or a Master’s degree with a minimum cumulative score of 55% scores. Candidates are required to have a minimum experience of at least 5 years apart from the qualifying degree.
• Evening classes are conducted from Monday to Friday and often on Saturdays the duration of the class gets extended. Both MBA Executive and MBA Executive – HCA programs are for 2 years and are divided into four semesters.
• FMS has a vast history of collaborations with various International Associations such as the University of California, Berkeley, USA and Manchester Business School, England.

Jamia Milia Islamia

Jamia Milia Islamia is a Central University with NAAC accreditation A++ grade. The Institute has a total of 70 seats for MBA Executive self-financed/part-time courses.

International Management Institute

• IMI, New Delhi aspires to become a premier global management school.
• IMI offers an 18-month PGDM Executive program that is approved by AICTE and accredited by the AMBA, that is, the U.K.-based Association of MBAs.
• According to the eligibility criteria for Indian candidates, the applicant should have a qualified bachelor’s with at least a 50% cumulative score. The candidate should be having at least 5 years of work experience post that. A valid XAT/CAT/GMAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT score is required.
• According to the placements reports for batch 2018-2019, eighty per cent of the batch got placed with the highest CTC INR 16,50,000 and median CTC INR 13,50,000.

IILM Institute for Higher Education

• According to the eligibility criteria, the candidate should be graduated with a cumulative score of at least 50%. The score can be 45% for ST/SC/OBC category applicants. The candidate should also have three years’ work experience and give proof of being a current working professional.

• The program duration is 18 months and is divided into 3 semesters.

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT)

• IIFT is deemed to be a University that aims to become the academic centre of brilliance in training, International business research and education.
• The Institute offers executive post diploma courses in Global Human Resource Management and International Business.
• The duration of the course is approximately 18 months that are divided into three semesters.
• The eligibility criteria for these programs include a bachelor’s degree, post-graduation degree along with work experience.

IIM Lucknow

• IIM Lucknow, Noida Campus offers a Post-Graduate Programme in Management for Working Executives that is spanned over two years.
• The eligibility criteria include Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or comparable, valid scores in any test such as CAT, GATE, GMAT/GRE, and PGPWE Entrance Exam. The date of the exam and result are essential for eligibility. The candidate should also have at least 3 years of full-time post-qualification work experience after completing graduation on 31^st December 2022.
• The candidates are shortlisted based on the test score, academic and professional profile, writing ability test and personal interview.
• PGPWE focuses on general management however candidates have options for electives which they can select for gaining more knowledge about specific domains.
• It should be noted that as per reports the institute does not offer scholarship services.

IIT Delhi

• Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi has the Department of Management Studies that offers an executive MBA program spanned over six semesters. The MBA program focuses on technology management.
• The eligibility criteria for the program is a first-class bachelor’s degree or its comparable in:

1. Engineering/technology
2. Physical sciences (chemistry, physics, mathematics)
3. Statistics, computer application, economics, commerce, operational research and ICWAI/CA

Further, the eligibility criteria include:

At least sixty per cent cumulative score (all semesters) or six-point CGPA on a ten-point scale or comparable in the degrees mentioned above.

It should be noted that for PH/SC/ST category students the minimum performance in the qualifying degree along with post-graduation degree is relaxed to be 55% or 5.50 CGPA on a ten-point scale.

The candidates are required to have at least 2 years of work experience after the qualifying degree as on 1^st August 2022.
