The Great Lakes Institute of Management is a private B-school in India. It was founded in the year of 2004 at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The institute has a green campus of 27 acres at Chennai and 7 acres at Gurgaon, Haryana.

The institute offers various programs in Management such as a one-year MBA, Executive PGDM, 2-year part-time Executive MBA, Management Development Program, Full-time MBA in Business Analytics, etc.

Course Details

The institute offers 2 year executive MBA named as Post Graduate Executive Program in Management (PGXPM).

The duration of Executive MBA from Grate Lakes is of 20 months, and the program consists of the study period of 545 hours.

The program consists of online and 7 on-campus modules. There are 7 terms of 3 months’ duration. At the start of each term, the students spend a week on the campus.

Application and Admission Procedure

  • Go through the information brochure first, which is available on the official website of the institution.
  • Register on the official website of the university to fill the online application form. Offline applications are not accepted.
  • To register, enter basic details like Name, Contact Number, Email ID, Address, etc. After the registration process, candidates are required to fill the application form which will ask some more details such as academic performance, etc.
  • Upload the scanned copies of necessary documents like:
  1. Passport-sized photograph
  2. Signature
  3. Aadhar card
  4. Class 10th mark sheet
  5. Class 12th mark sheet
  6. Graduation mark sheet
  7. A valid CAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ CMAT score card
  8. Cast/ PwD/ EWS category certificate (if applicable)
  9. Work experience certificate which can be either Appointment Letter or Promotion Letter.
  • Then, the candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 1,500 only. The application should be paid online through Credit/ Debit card, Net Banking, NEFT/ RTGS, etc for the successful submission of the application form.
  • Provide official email ids of the recommenders

Admission Procedure

Upon registration, the institute will go through the applications received and shortlist the candidates for interview. These candidates will be informed by email.

The final selection will be based on the criteria listed below:

  • Academic performance
  • Performance in written test / CAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ XAT
  • Performance in Personal Interview
  • Quality of Work experience
  • Statement of Purpose

After evaluating the performance of students, a final merit list will be prepared. The candidates who don’t have a valid CAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ XAT score, they have to appear in the Great Lakes Aptitude Test.

Fee Structure

The Great Lakes executive MBA (PGXPM) fee is Rs. 10,45,000 + GST.

Also, the students can pay the course fee in either 2 or 4 instalments. The course fee is to be paid through Debit/ Credit card, Net Banking, Demand Draft, NEFT/ RTGS, etc.

The candidates are directed to pay the first instalment at the time of admission for the confirmation of seat.

Eligibility Criteria

The students who are willing to take admission in the Executive MBA offered by Great Lakes Institute of Management must meet eligibility criteria mentioned below:

  • The candidates should have undergraduate degree from any recognised university with minimum 50% marks.
  • The candidates should have a minimum of 50% of marks or equivalent CGPA at 10th, 12th and Undergraduate level.
  • The candidates should have a work experience of a minimum of 8 years in any public or private owned organisation at Executive/ Managerial level.
  • The candidate should have a valid test score in any of these exams – CAT,  XAT, EA by GMAC, equivalent aptitude tests or Great Lakes Aptitude Test

There is no upper age limit in applying for the Executive MBA at Great Lakes Institute of Management.
