Upgrad Online MBA Admission and Application Procedures

Candidates need to follow the following steps to pursue MBA course online from UpGrad:

  • Step 2: Find a suitable MBA online course from the website and fill out the application form online.
  • Step 3: Candidates have to go through a profile evaluation from the admissions team of UpGrad and will get shortlisted.
  • Step 4: Candidates will soon receive an offer letter after the successful evaluation of the form submitted.
  • Step 5: Candidates need to pay the caution money to block their seat.

Upgrad Online MBA Eligibility Criteria

UpGrad is an online platform where candidates can pursue their education from any institute they like. Thus, the eligibility criteria differ from one institution to another but some of the criteria remains the same. Such criteria include the following:

  • Candidates must have completed their graduation degree from a recognised University.
  • A minimum of 50% in the bachelor’s degree is required. Some institutions, such as IIT, require 60%, while IIM requires 50% marks.
  • In selected MBA colleges, students from reserved categories such as OBC, SC, and ST are eligible for a 5% reduction in the required cut-off marks.

  • Some colleges expect candidates to have strong XAT scores, some work experience, and good academic records.
  • IIT Mumbai now requires aspiring candidates to complete a 4-year graduation programme rather than a 3-year programme. Candidates with 3 years programme can pursue a diploma for fulfilling the criteria for the same.
  • Similarly, IIT Kharagpur expects candidates to complete a four-year degree programme or a master’s degree in science, commerce, or economics to be eligible to pursue an MBA from there.
