The Welingkar Institute of Management and Research is a Business school which was established in the year of 1977 at Mumbai. It has been run by Shikshan Prasarak Mandali, Pune for the past 43 years. The part-time MBA program is mainly designed for the working professional or the employees who are already a part of an organisation and they are willing to upgrade their qualification level but due to a busy schedule, they are not in a position to attend the regular classes in any educational institute. Application and Admission Procedure

Application process

Interested candidates need to fill an application form online from the official website of the institute.

Along with the online form, the students are required to upload the scanned copies of some necessary academic documents mentioned below:

1. Class 10^th mark sheet
2. Class 12^th mark sheet
3. Graduation mark sheet
4. Aadhaar card or any authentic Identification card.

To submit the form, students are required to pay Rs. 1500 only as Application fee through Debit/ Credit card, Net Banking, NEFT/ RTGS, etc. After paying the application fee the form will be finally submitted.

Selection process

In the next round, all the applicants will be called for the comprehensive evaluation that will include Written Test, Group Discussion, and a Personal Interview.

After evaluating the candidates on these three milestones a final Merit-list will be prepared and the selected students will be informed through E-mail.

After that, the students will be asked to present themselves in person before the authorities to complete the formalities and verification of the uploaded documents as well as work experience certificate, for the confirmation of admission.

Welingkar Part Time MBA Fee Structure

The Welingkar Institute of Management and research charges a very nominal amount of fee from its students which makes it a student-friendly institute. Mainly it is run by a charitable trust, therefore, the course fee and other charges are not very high.

The fee charged for Welingkar Part Time MBA varies based on the university student graduated from. Those from Mumbai University pay the least fee.

An additional Library deposit of Rs. 2,000/- should be submitted by all the students after the allocation of their seats, and this Library deposit will be refunded after the successful completion of the program.

The students have to pay the Program fee of 1^st year for the confirmation of admission.

The candidates can pay the program fee through Net Banking, NEFT/ RTGS, Debit/ Credit card, etc.

Scholarships

The Welingkar Institute of Management provides the Scholarships to its meritorious students under Merit-based scheme. The scheme has the following provisions listed below:

• Students securing 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd rank after the end term examinations of each program will be refunded the Tuition fee of 1^st Semester.
• Similarly, students who will secure the Rank from 4^th to 8^th in each program there expenses up to Rs. 1,00,000 will be covered by the institute itself.
• Also, the students who will secure the Rank from 9^th to 20^th, a laptop of maximum up to Rs. 40,000 will be sponsored for them by the institute.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for Part Time MBA at Welingkar Institute of Management is as follows –

• Bachelors degree in any discipline under the 10 + 2 + 3 pattern from any University recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC).
• All the candidates should have work experience of a minimum of 2 years after the completion of graduation. The candidate should have worked at Supervisor’s/Officer/Executive cadre  level.
• The 2 years of work experience should be completed before 30^th June 2023.

There is no upper age limit for applying in the part-time MBA at this institution.
