Madras University MBA Selection Process 2022

  • Candidates will be selected for MBA admission at Madras University based on their scores in the TANCET exam.
  • For NRIs and Foreign Nationals, a candidate's score in their degree courses will be considered if the number of candidates applied for the course exceeds 6.

TANCET

  • The TANCET is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the DTE on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Government every year to provide admission to postgraduate programmes like MBA.
  • The TANCET exam for MBA contains 100 questions from 5 different sections and 2 hours are allocated for finishing the exam.

Madras University MBA Eligibility 2022

The Madras University MBA eligibility requirements are given below.

MBA (Regular and Self-Supportive)

All the candidates who have completed their three-year Bachelor's Degree from the University of Madras in any subject or from any other University accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto.

Executive MBA (Only for Executives - Weekend Mode)

All the candidates must have passed a Bachelor's Degree with an aggregate of at least 55% marks from the University of Madras or any other university or any qualification accepted by the Syndicate of the University as equivalent thereto will be eligible to take admission.

Scholarships

Madras University Endowment Scholarship

Candidates have to apply for this scholarship when the applications are live. A total of 51 Endowment scholarships will be provided for the students enrolled in different programmes such as UG, PG, MPhil and PhD programmes. Selected students will receive a yearly scholarship between Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 10,000.

Madras University offers scholarships for SC, ST and BC/EBC students. The parental income of students wishing to apply for this scholarship must be Rs. 2,00,000/- per annum. Candidates should provide the necessary certificates to avail of the scholarship.
