Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was established in 1994 and was founded with the opening of the Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore by Amritanandamayi Devi. It is managed by the International Humanitarian Organization Mata Amritanandamayi Math. It was the youngest institute to receive the status of Deemed to be University from the University Grants Commission (UGC). The BTech programme admissions are offered in Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Amritapuri, and Amaravati Campuses of Amrita.

Amrita University BTech Application Process 2022
Candidates can apply for BTech admissions at Amrita by following the steps given below.
Online
- To submit an online application for BTech admissions, candidates need to go to the official website of Amrita.
- Candidates must have a valid Email ID and Mobile Number for filling out the application form for BTech admissions.
- Candidates should retain their mobile number and email ID given at the time of BTech admissions registration till the completion of the admission process.
- Candidates are required to complete all the sections in the application form to submit it.
- Candidates can fill in all the details first and proceed to fee payment later.

The data of the OMR applications received will be entered online in the link of the BTech web portal of Amrita. Amrita University BTech Selection Process 2022
Admission to the BTech programmes at Amrita School of Engineering (All Campuses) will be based on the rank secured by the students in the
- Amrita Entrance Examination for Engineering (AEEE) 2022, Or
- JEE MAINS 2022, Or
- Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT), Or
- Pearson UG Entrance Exam Score (PUEE).
If JEE MAINS is conducted many times, all the scores secured by the students before the Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP) of Amrita BTech will be taken into consideration and the best one will be taken into account.
Seat Allocation
Seat allocation will be done in the following manner.
- AEEE 2022 - 70% of Seat Allotment
- JEE MAINS 2022, Pearson, SAT - 30% of the Seat Allocation
Students can apply for admission through AEEE or JEE MAINS, Pearson, SAT or both.
Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering (AEEE)
- AEEE is a computer-based test conducted at various centres for 300 marks.
- All the questions of the AEEE are objective-type questions and the duration of the test is 2.5 hours.
- Each question of the entrance exam carries 3 marks and a score of 1 will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Amrita University BTech Eligibility Criteria 2022
Candidates interested in applying for BTech admissions at Amrita should satisfy the eligibility requirements mentioned below before the commencement of the classes.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Class XII or its equivalent with an aggregate of at least 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry with not less than 50% in Mathematics, 55% each in Chemistry and Physics. Candidates who are going to pass out or have passed in 2022, and 2021 can apply for BTech admissions at Amrita.
- Students who are seeking admission only through the Pearson UG entrance exam score should have an aggregate of at least 75% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 75% marks in Mathematics.
Age
- Candidates should be born on or after 1st July 2001 to become eligible for BTech admissions at Amrita.
