Christ University was established as a Christ College in 1969 in Bangalore, Karnataka. The University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2004 conferred autonomy status to it. Christ University was declared Deemed to be a University in 2008 by the Government of India. It was established with the vision of the educationist and social reformer of the 19th century - Kuriakose Elias Chavara. With the introduction of a modern and innovative curriculum, it undertook various path-breaking initiatives in Indian Higher Education. In 1998, Christ University was accredited by NAAC.

Christ University BTech Eligibility Criteria 2022

The eligibility requirements that candidates should possess to become eligible for applying for BTech admissions at Christ University are given below.

• Candidates must have passed the +2 level (Karnataka PUC/CBSE/NIOS/ISC/State Boards) exam from a recognized board or institute.
• Candidates must have studied Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at +2 level with an aggregate of at least 50% in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry together and 50% in Mathematics.
• Students appearing for the +2 exams in March - May 2022 can apply for BTech admissions at Christ University with their Class X and XI marks.
• Students who are pursuing an international curriculum should note that the eligibility must be according to the AIU stipulations:
  • Candidates pursuing the IB curriculum should have 3 SL and 3 HL with 24 credits.
