National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), popularly known as NITK Surathkal, and formerly named as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC), is located in Surathkal, Mangalore. It was formed as KREC in 1960 and is now one of India's 31 National Institutes of Technology, as well as a Government of India-designated Institute of National Importance.  National Institute of Technology MBA Selection Process:

To get accepted to NIT, candidates must fulfil the following steps:

• Candidates must take the CAT/ MAT entrance test as a selection criterion.
• Following the review of entrance exam scores, qualifying applicants will be admitted through University counselling, GD, and PI rounds.

1. Tamil Nadu Scholarship:
