About
MNIT initially in 1963 was named Malaviya Regional Engineering College Jaipur. It was jointly established by the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan. Later, on 26 June 2002, the college renamed itself as the Malaviya National Institute of Technology.
The Ministry of Education of the Government of India fully funds this institute. It provides 2years full-time MBA programme in five different specializations, including Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Operations, and Business Analytics.
The total annual intake for the MBA at MNIT is sanctioned at 79. The admissions are made on the basis of CAT/GMAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores. NIRF ranked MNIT at 72 amongst the best colleges in India.
Application Procedure
The application forms open around July every year. The institute invites only online applications, and the application fee is non-refundable. For applying to MNIT the candidates need to follow the following processes:
Step1: Go to the official website for availing the online form.

Step2: Fill out the online registration form by giving your name, email id, mobile number, etc. Also mention whether you are physically handicapped and which category you fall in and submit it.
Step 3: The password for your registration form will be sent by email so after registering login with the password to fill out the application form.
Step 4: The candidates need to upload the following documents:
- High school/Secondary school certificate is required for the identification of DOB/age. No other document in support of age is acceptable.
- Final Degree/Provisional certificate and mark-sheets since secondary examination are required in a chronological order (latest first).
- Mark-sheet/score card of CAT/CMAT/GMAT/MAT/XAT is required.
- Upload the caste/category certificate if applicable
- Certificate of work experience in the previous years issued by the employer mentioning the period of work is required. This also should be mentioned in a chronological order (latest first).

Selection Process/Admission Process
MNIT has the following process for the selection and admission of the candidate:
- The admission board will first see the CAT/MAT/GMAT/XAT/CMAT entrance examination scorecard.
- Based on this entrance exam scorecard the candidate will be shortlisted for a Personal Interview round by the department.
- Candidates clearing the cut-offs and performing excellently in the PI round, will be offered to seek admission to the programme they have applied for.
- Candidates need to email their acceptance of the admission letter and alongside pay the full fees for the first semester through their MNIT ERP credential.
- All newly admitted students will be provided with a student credentials, MNIT ERP credentials, and a manual of the institute through a system generated email.
- A provisional admission letter will be generated online, and the candidates need to download the form and keep it as a record.
- Failing to accept the offer and paying the fees will result in forfeiture of the candidate’s seat in the college.

Fee Structure
The total fee for MBA in MNIT 2021-2022 is Rs. 1,67,665 for General/OBC students and Rs. 67,665 for ST/SC students.

- All students are required to pay the fees at the time of admission through the online portal of MNIT ERP.
- Only under special circumstances, students can pay the fees through demand draft, debit card, etc. in the name of Registrar Jaipur which is payable at Jaipur.
Hostel fees:
Hostels at MNIT are limited thus accommodations are made on a first come first basis. The hotel fees are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for MNIT MBA must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the college. Since the application fee paid is non-refundable, all students are advised to check whether they tick all the eligibility criteria boxes before applying.
- All applicants must have at least a 3years or 4years bachelor’s degree from a recognised University or institution.
- All applicants must have a CGPA of at least 6.5 out of 10. In Universities where CGPA is not awarded, students must have 60% marks or above. For reserved classes like SC/ST the CGPA should be at least 6.0 out of 10 and 55% marks where CGPA is not awarded.

- Candidates who have completed their examination for the bachelor’s degree and are waiting for their results are also eligible to apply
- Apart from the above-mentioned minimum eligibility criteria, the candidates must have a valid scorecard for CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/XAT entrance examination.

Placement/Average Package
Placements are given by the college through the Centralized Training & Placement Cell of the institute. The average package offered in these placements is Rs. 5.62 LPA. The highest package offered in 2022 is Rs. 10 LPA and the median package is Rs. 5LPA.

Cut-offs
The cut-off in the entrance examination varies from 82%-96% every year. Different management entrance exams have a different range of cut-offs and accordingly the admissions are made.
