The T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), a constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal is an autonomous business school in India. Manipal University MBA Selection Process 2022

The selection of students for the MBA programme involves the following stages.

Stage 1 - Short-listing

• Candidates who have filled out the application form for the MBA programme will be shortlisted based on their scores in the entrance examinations like CAT, XAT or GMAT. The short-listed students will be called for the second stage of the selection process, i.e, English Proficiency Test, Moderated Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.

Stage 2

1. English Proficiency Test (EPT)

• This test assesses the English Proficiency of students in writing, listening and reading skills.

1. Moderated Group Discussion (MGD)

• This test evaluates the student's ability to interact within a group and enrich the discussion. It evaluates candidates' skills in problem-solving, collaboration and communication.
• The MGD topics will be based on current affairs topics of the last 5 years.

1. Personal Interview

• This test is conducted to understand the attitude of students towards management education. It conducts Behavioural Personal Interview to ensure the same.
• It evaluates students' ability in terms of social awareness, leadership, self-management and communication.

Final Selection

The final selection of candidates will be based on the entrance exam score + academic profile + work experience + EPT + MGD + PI score. Detailed information is given below.

Manipal University MBA Eligibility 2022

General

• All the students who have completed their Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years in any discipline from a recognized university or institute with an aggregate of at least 50% marks. Also, candidates must have a valid score of XAT 2022 or CAT 2021 or GMAT (2017 - February 2022).

NRI

• All the candidates should have completed a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent with an aggregate of at least 50% marks from a recognized university or institute with a valid NMAT, SNAP, CAT, XAT, GMAT, ATMA, MAT or CMAT score.

PIO or Foreign Category

• Candidates should have completed a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university with an aggregate of 50% marks and a valid GMAT score (Compulsory) and IELTS (If Required).
