About the Institute and Course

GITAM School of Business was established in the year 1988 and is an integral part of GITAM Deemed to be University. GITAM School aims to become a worldwide frontrunner in management education. The MBA program by GITAM is designed for helping the participants prepare for the future.

Application Procedure

The steps for applying for the management program are mentioned below:

• Candidates are required to first register themselves, and attain the user id and password to begin the application procedure. The candidates visiting the online application portal for the first time are required to fill in the details. The registration login, as well as the password, shall be mailed to the candidates at the email address that they share.
• The login and password that the candidates have received through the mail have to be used for the application procedure.
• The applicant has to opt for the program that they applying for. Other programs can be specified under second and third preferences. Based on the availability of the seats, the candidate shall be offered admission.
• Online application has to be filled and the application fee is INR 1000, that is, non-refundable.
• It should be noted that without the payment of the application fee, the application shall not proceed forward for the interview.
• Applicants are required to first register themselves by filling in their details and then verify their mobile number and email address.
• After filling in complete details, applicants can review and pay.
• Lastly, candidates can get a print of their application.

Admission procedure

The basis for admission and selection of the candidates is mentioned below:

• It is compulsory for applicants to give a common aptitude test by GITAM, GITAM Admission Test (GAT) 2022.

It is an MCQ-based exam that has to be completed in 90 minutes. The details for the exam are given below:

It should be noted that each question has 4 options out of which only 1 is correct and the correct answer shall be awarded one mark. The unanswered and wrong questions shall receive nil marks. Further, it is a system-based examination conducted at specific centres decided by GITAM after the last date of application. The candidates are required to select a specific date and time for the examination and then download the admit card,

• Applicants having valid GMAT, MAT, XAT, CAT, ATMA, NMAT or CMAT scores get an exemption from GAT 2022.
• The applicants are further selected depending on their admission test scores and application.
• The candidates who get shortlisted are further screened in a PI, that is personal interview along with other qualitative parameters.

Fee Structure

The total fee for GITAM MBA program is INR 9,00,000 from the Vishakhapatnam and Hyderabad campus whereas it is INR 7,00,000 from the Bengaluru campus.

Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for applying to the MBA program are given below:

• The applicant should have a Bachelor's degree or comparable with at least a fifty per cent cumulative score in any field.
• The under-graduation degree should be for a minimum of three years of study.
• Final year students are also qualified for applying however the applicant can furbish their pass certificate with the minimum cut-off by August 2021.

According to reports of 2021, the maximum salary package is said to be INR 12.0 lacs per annum. The total strength of students placed is 225, that is, 87% placement regardless of the pandemic. Scholarships

Some general terms about the scholarship process are mentioned below:

• It should be noted that admission to eligible scholarship students is offered on the basis of 'first-come-first serve'.
• Admission through the scholarship shall be considered up to twenty per cent of the authorised intake for any course/program.
• If the twenty per cent scholarship limit gets exhausted for a program despite being eligible for the scholarship, the applicant shall not be permitted for availing of the scholarship. Exceptions shall be made at the discretion of management.
• The primary scholarship policy shall be merit-driven and have need-based financial support. Merit scholarship up to a hundred per cent of the tuition fee offered based on merit. Further, the additional need-based scholarships can be attained by deserving applicants depending upon the total annual income of both the parents of the candidate.

There are 4 categories of scholarships offered at GITAM. These include:

• Merit scholarships – The scholarship is awarded based on the scores of diverse National/State entrance exams.
• Need-based scholarship – The scholarship is offered based on the combined income of the parents of the candidate.
• Loyalty scholarships – The scholarship is offered to the alumni who return to the institute for further studies, offspring of alumni, real siblings who are studying at the same time and offspring of retired employees of GITAM.
• Sports scholarship – Sports scholarship is awarded to deserving candidates based on a thorough application and evaluation process.
