About the course

Doon University offers three years full-time Bachelor in Business Administration course. The number of seats for this course is forty. The course is offered as a part of the School of Management that uses diverse ways of teaching such as structured lectures, case studies, guest lectures, discussions and seminars.

Application Procedure

The steps for applying at Doon University are given below:

• Interested candidates are required to complete the online application form using the link available on the University website.
• A registration fee of INR 800 has to be paid as the applicant submits the application form. The amount of registration fee for SC/ST/PH applicants of only Uttarakhand is INR400. The application fee cannot be refunded and any correspondence with regard to the same won't be entertained.
• The candidates can apply for a maximum of 3 academic programs and they need to pay a specific fee for each course.
• After submitting the application form the candidates are recommended to get a printout of the same for future reference.
• In case any candidate is unable to fill out the online application form they can seek help from the University's admission helpdesk. The applicant would need to bring all the essential documents and fees for the same.

Admission Procedure

It should be noted that the admission of candidates is dependent upon the score attained in the entrance test conducted by the University. All candidates including the reserved category applicants need to give the entrance test. Further, in the case of any course, if the number of applications for entrance tests is less than the total number of students' intake then the entrance exam won't be organized for that specific course or program. In such case, admission shall be based upon the marks attained in the qualifying examination.

It should be noted that seats shall be filled on the basis of merit. In any program, 50% of seats shall get filled on an all-India basis whereas the rest 50% shall be held in reserve for applicants from Uttarakhand according to State Government’s policy.

It should be noted that applicants who have been convicted of a criminal offence won't be permitted admission to any course.

The details about the result declaration and merit list announcement are given below:

• Candidates can find the merit list on the website of the University and the on the notice boards as well. The merit list shall be separate for reserved categories and general categories.
• In case of a tie-in entrance exam score, the marks of the qualifying examination shall be considered. The 12^th-grade exams shall be used for considering the merit. In case of similar 12^th-grade marks, 10^th-grade marks shall be referred to. In case of similar 10^th-grade marks, the candidate who is elder shall be placed higher in merit.
• The shortlisted candidates would need to report for admission counselling so as to fulfil all the formalities. In case an applicant does not complete this step then their admission shall be forfeited.

The documents that the shortlisted candidates need to bring for admission counselling are mentioned below:

• Evidence of age depends on High school/Higher secondary school certificate.
• Migration certificate/transfer certificate (needs to be original for submission purposes)
• Conduct and character certificate that should be from the last Institute the applicant attended.
• Evidence of clearing the qualifying exam.
• 2 photographs in passport size for the purpose of identity card along with a mark sheet as needed for the fulfilment of admission eligibility.
• The reservation category candidates need to bring proof of entitlement.
• Mool niwas praman patra/domicile certificate
• Aadhar card/certificate for the permanent address
• Certificate from a civil surgeon/government hospital/medical fitness certificate/government doctor regarding the blood group
• In case the candidate needs hostel accommodation then submission of the hostel registration form is needed.
• The candidates need to complete the online anti-ragging affidavits by logging on to www.ANTIRAGGING.inhttp://www.ANTIRAGGING.in or www.AMANMOVEMENT.orghttp://www.AMANMOVEMENT.org
• The candidate is needed to submit the above-mentioned affidavit's hard copy to the school administration/university.

It should be noted that Doon University will be recognizing the School Leaving Certificates of Education Boards of the Centre as well as States and approved degrees of all Central Universities, State Universities, Institutions of national importance and private and foreign Universities that are approved by the UGC. This includes the degree awarded under the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode offered by UGC-recognized institutions/Universities.

The details about admission cancellation are mentioned below:

• In case it is found that the information provided by the candidates for admission purposes is incorrect/misleading then the admission can get cancelled at any moment.
• In case the applicant does not submit the certificate about the required qualifying exam document at the time of admission and afterwards, it is found that the applicant is not fulfilling the eligibility criteria then the admission will get cancelled. In such a situation the fee submitted by the candidate won't be refunded by the University.

Fee Structure

The semester-wise tuition fee for the BBA program at Doon University is INR 30,000 along with INR 7,000 as additional other fees. The total tuition fee for the entire course is INR 1,80,000.

Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for a BBA degree are mentioned below:

• The applicant should have attained at least a fifty per cent score in 10+2 in any domain. The score should be from a Recognized Board of secondary education. The minimum percentage needed for SC/ST is forty-five per cent.
• The mode of admission is also dependent upon the entrance test conducted.

Scholarships

The University offers scholarships, fellowships and financial assistance to worthy students. It should be noted that a candidate can take benefit of only a single scheme at a time. The candidates shall not be allowed to attain financial assistance from more than one course concurrently. The details about the scholarship and financial aid are mentioned below:

1. PanditMahanandDangwal (Kirti Nagar, Tehri Garhwal) Scholarship: The University offers about 8 to 10 scholarships each month of INR 3,000 for the University's meritorious pupils. The scholarships are based on the means cum merit and are subject to performance appraisal on a yearly basis according to the guidelines approved. The admission process needs to be completed for the announcement of this scheme.
2. Doon University Students Aid Fund (DUSAF): The Doon University Student Aid Fund is developed to provide to the meritorious students of the University who need financial assistance. It is granted for a single year only. The admission process needs to be completed for the announcement of this scheme.
3. e Scholarship of Social Welfare Department: Applicants are invited by the Social Welfare Department of Uttarakhand Government for awarding the Scholarship annually to the SC/ST/OBC applicants of Uttarakhand who are continuing their higher education.
