The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is a public technical university located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. IIT Madras MBA Application Process 2022
Candidates have to become eligible for applying for MBA admission at IIT Madras. The steps involved in filling out the application form for the MBA programme at IIT Madras are given below.
Step 1 - Go to the official website of the Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras - https://doms.iitm.ac.in/.
Step 2 - Search for the "IIT MBA Admission 2022" link from the Events/Announcements section and click on it.
Step 3 - You will be directed to the application page where click on the "new user" button and enter your email ID. The password will be sent to your registered email ID, use it to sign in to your account to continue the application process.
Step 4 - After logging into the dashboard, enter your details and proceed to the next step.
Step 5 - Enter your educational qualification information and mention work experience if you have any.
Step 6 - After completing all the steps mentioned above, proceed to fee payment and complete the application process.

IIT Madras MBA Eligibility 2022
The detailed eligibility criteria for pursuing the MBA programme at IIT Madras are given below.
Regular Candidates
- A valid score in the CAT conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management is required.
- Graduation or equivalent professional qualification recognized by the UGC in any discipline from a recognized university or institute with first class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PD).
- Final-year students of the above-mentioned programmes can also apply. But such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally and need to meet all the requirements for the qualifying degree before the commencement of the programme and should submit a provisional certificate of completion of qualifying degree within two months of joining the programme.
- IIT graduates who have obtained a CGPA of 8 or more will be exempted from the CAT score.

Company Sponsored
- It is to be sponsored by their employers and forward their application form through a proper channel.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the sponsoring organization.
- Also, candidates must have a valid CAT score and completed Graduation or equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institute with an aggregate of 60% marks.
Defence Personnel
- Defence Personnel is exempted from giving CAT and can apply through respective government agencies.
- Graduation or professional qualification equivalent to the University degree and is recognized by the UGC in any discipline from a recognized university or institute with an aggregate of 55% marks.
NRI and Foreign Nationals
- These candidates must have a valid GMAT score.
- All the candidates should have completed Graduation or equivalent qualification recognized as a University degree by the UGC with an aggregate of at least 60% marks from a recognized institute or university.
- Final year students of the above-mentioned programmes can also apply provided they meet all the requirements.
- These candidates are also required to submit copies of their citizenship-related documents obtained from the Indian Embassy.
