KL Deemed to be University earlier the KL College of Engineering and Koneru Lakshmaiah Educational Foundation was established in 1980 in Vaddeswaram, Guntur. It became autonomous in 2006 and it received the status of Deemed to be University in 2009. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 2019 declared KL Deemed to be a University as Category I institute. It endeavours to provide quality higher education and to undertake research with greater emphasis on innovation.

- The application fee is Rs.1,000/-.

KL University BTech Selection Process 2022
- Students will be selected for BTech admissions at KL Deemed to be University based on their score in the JEE Mains/Advanced or EAMCET or KLEEE conducted by the KL University.
- The KL Deemed to be University also accepts the score of the candidates in Uni Gauge to provide admissions to the BTech programmes.
- It offers relaxation to the students based on merit in the Sports and Cultural activities at the time of admission to the BTech programmes.

KL University BTech Eligibility Criteria 2022
The minimum requirements that students should possess to become eligible for BTech admissions at KL Deemed to be University are given below.
- All the students must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with an aggregate of 60% and above and 60% and above in Group Subjects.
- Students who have finished their Class XII with Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics are eligible for all BTech programmes including Biotechnology.
- Students who have passed Class XII with Biology, Chemistry and Physics are eligible for BTech Biotechnology only.
- Also, candidates should have to be successful in JEE Mains or Advanced/KLEEE/State Level Entrance Examinations like EAMCET and merit in sports or cultural activities.
