Gujarat University, established in 1949, is a public state university located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It is one of the oldest and largest universities in gujarat. It has been accredited with a B++ grade by NAAC. Gujarat University is an affiliating University at the under-graduate level, while it is a teaching one at the post-graduate level.The university is inclusive of 23 schools with 350 plus affiliations. B.K School of Business Management under the Gujarat University offers the MBA programme with a variety of specialisations.

Gujarat university ranked 73rd in the “overall’ category of the NIRF rankings 2022 and 58th in the ‘university’ category. Outlook ranked the university at 78th spot in 2019. According to the QS Global Rankings, the university ranks 375 out of 400 in India.

MBA in Sustainable International business and Foreign Trade is a four-year programme. The University also offers MBA evening and MBA general with the option of online distance learning. The evening programme is spread over a duration of 3 years
Application Procedure
The application process of the university is entirely online. To apply, candidates need to visit the official website - https://www.gujaratuniversity.ac.in/Home and then click on the admissions tab on the home page (https://www.gujaratuniversity.ac.in/admissions). Then candidates need to select the preferred course and register with the basic details. Complete the application form by uploading all the required documents, paying the application fee and submitting the form. The application fee for the same amounts to INR 350.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply for the MBA programme at Gujarat University, candidates need to have a graduation degree with 50% score for general category and 45% for SC/ST category.
To be eligible for admission to the MBA evening programme of the university the candidates need 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST category) in bachelors along with minimum 3 years’ Administrative/ Management/ Professional/ Teaching experience, working and living within 40 km. of Ahmedabad.
Selection criteria
The selection of a candidate is based on CMAT score plus ACPC counselling. The selection process includes personal interviews and group discussions.

Scholarships
Gujarat University provides a variety of scholarships and financial aid for students to pursue their higher education, especially for students from lower class backgrounds and SC/ST categories. Many of the schemes initiated by the government of gujarat are covered by the university which include schemes such as - Higher Education Scheme or Fellowship Scheme, National Scholarships, Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana and many more.
The Government of Gujarat has also initiated a scheme namely SHODH( Scheme of Developing High-Quality Research) under which around 1000 full-time research students are being provided INR 15K plus INR 20K contingency expenses annually since the past five years. University covers this scheme as well to provide greater support for graduate students. Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana, also covered by the university, provides the students with financial support and greater access to higher education.
Placements
The university has an active placement working towards bridging the gap between students and recruiters. During the placement drive held in 2021 it has been reported that around 300 plus students received the offer letter on first day itself with highest salary package extending upto INR 3 lacs per annum.
The prominent recruiters during 2021 placements included NIT Ahmedabad, Trident Financials and ZIP Hire. Other top companies were also present for the placement drive such as TCS, Zydus Group, Deloitte, EY, Evosys, Confidential, QX Global Group, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Amazon.
