The Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore was established in 1948 and is the oldest management school in India. It offers a Master of Management Programme (M.Mgt) exclusively for engineering graduates. MBA was offered at the IISc till 2008. Master of Management Programme (M.Mgt) has been offered since 2011. The eligibility criteria for M.Mgt and earlier MBA are the same. The M.Mgt course is the first of its kind to specialize in Business Analytics and Technology Management designed to meet the contemporary demands of the industry and society.

Registration

• Go to the online admission portal at https://admissions.iisc.ac.in/ and click on the PG Course Programme.
• Candidates have to register themselves on the Admission Portal by clicking on the "New User to Register Click Here".
• Candidates have to register by providing their name, email address and date of birth.
  • Candidates must make sure that their name and date match their degree certificates.
  • The email address provided must be active at least till the completion of the admission process.
• Candidates will receive an email with a link to confirm their email addresses. Candidates' registration becomes active after clicking on it.

Programme Selection

• Log on to the portal using the credentials. Once candidates log into the portal, they will be on the "Application Status page". It will display the list of complete and incomplete applications candidates have done and allows them to start applications for a new programme.
• Candidates can also update the National Entrance Test details within one week of the announcement of the results.
• To begin with a new application, candidates have to click on "Apply for another Programme" available on my application panel.
• Now, candidates have to choose a new degree programme to apply to.

Personal Details

Candidates have to fill out the M.Mgt application form with personal details.

• The details of name, email address and date of birth fields cannot be changed and they will be taken from the registration portal.
• Now, candidates have to fill in their gender, state of domicile and nationality. Candidates also have to provide their category and sub-category information.
• Candidates are also required to have a mobile number, address and organization details if employed previously.
• Also, candidates have to upload their photograph, signature, category and PwD certificate (if applicable).
• Now, candidates can click on save and proceed to save their details.

Academic Qualifications

• Candidates have to provide details of their Class X, XII and Graduation. For Graduation, candidates have to provide information that is available on the date of applying.
• Candidates have to fill in the details starting from Class X in a sequence and save them by clicking on "Save and Next".
• After completing all the information related to educational qualifications, candidates have to click on "Save and Proceed" to move to the next page.

Eligibility Preferences

• Under this section, candidates have to fill in the details related to the eligibility entrance examinations such as GATE/GMAT/CAT.
• If the results of these examinations are awaited, candidates can update them later.

Application Fee

IISc Bangalore MBA Selection Process 2022

• Candidates who have a valid score in the GMAT/CAT 2021/GATE 2020/2021/2022 apply for admission at the IISc by visiting the official website.
• After screening candidates based on their entrance examination scores mentioned above, online interviews will be conducted.
• The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the entrance examinations, interview, qualifying degree and communication skills.

• Candidates who are short-listed for the Group Discussion and Interview will be posted on the interface of the applicants on the IISc admission portal.
• Candidates short-listed can take a printout of their interview letters from their login page and make the necessary arrangements to attend the interview. No separate communication will be done by the institute via post.
• Candidates who are invited for Group Discussion and the Interview should bring attested copies of SSLC or its equivalent onwards, degree certificates of qualifying examinations and produce them before the interview committee. Otherwise, candidates will not be interviewed.
• Candidates of the SC/ST category must bring original caste/tribe certificates issued by the competent authority.
• OBC candidates of the non-creamy layer have to produce an OBC - NCL certificate on the day of the interview issued by a competent authority on or after 1^st April 2022.
• Candidates belonging to the EWS category have to produce asset and original income certificates issued by a competent authority on or after 1^st April 2022.
• Candidates of PwD and Kashmiri Migrants should produce the originals of appropriate certificates issued as per the rules of the Government of India. Kashmiri Hindu or Kashmiri Pandit families residing in Kashmiri Valley should produce a Kashmiri Valley domicile certificate.
• The offer letter for the selected candidates will be posted on the IISc admission portal under the application status. They can take a printout of the offer letter and make the necessary arrangements to take up the admission.
• Candidates must have completed all the requirements for the award of the qualifying degree including dissertation projects, examinations, viva-voce, etc.
• Only the candidates who produce all the essential certificates and mark sheets in the original format issued by the University Authorities will be provided admission.
