Delhi Technological University, earlier known as Delhi College of Engineering was established in 1941 as a Delhi Polytechnic. It is located in Rohini, Delhi and is a state university. It started providing degrees to students after its affiliation with the University of Delhi in 1952. It was affiliated with the University of Delhi from 1952 to 2009 and in 2009, it was given the status of a University. It was established to cater for the demands of Indian industries. It was the first engineering college of Delhi and was amongst the few engineering institutes that were established before independence.

Students have to apply for JEE Mains and secure a good score in it to get admission to BTech programmes at Delhi Technological University. The JEE Mains application process details are given below.
- Candidates have to visit the official website of the NTA JEE Mains to register for the exam and choose a password and security question.
- Candidates have to log in after registration and fill out the personal, and academic details and upload the mandatory documents in the requisite size and format.
- After filling out the application form for the JEE Mains, candidates should proceed towards making fee payment and complete it by paying the fee through online mode.
BTech (Lateral Entry)
Candidates can apply for BTech (Lateral Entry) admissions at DTU by following the steps given below.
- Candidates should visit the official website of the DTU.
- Candidates should click on the " Admissions" tab and select the BTech Lateral Entry course.
- Now, candidates have to click on "Online Registration" and register themselves by entering their Name, Email ID, etc.
- Candidates should log in again and fill out the application form for (BTech Lateral Entry) admissions.
- Candidates have to upload their photograph, and signature and proceed towards the application fee payment.
- Candidates need to submit the BTech (Lateral Entry) application form after verifying all the information and uploading the documents.

- Candidates must appear for Jee Mains and clear it with a good score to become eligible for BTech admissions at DTU.
- The final admission to the BTech programmes at DTU will be offered to the students based on Joint Admission Counselling (JAC).
