Internships

The Placement Cell of IIST Thiruvananthapuram permits and coordinates the following modes of internships for students.

• Industry-Partnered Research Internships - Under this, MTech students will have 5 to 6 months of work in IIST followed by 5 to 6 months of internship with the company.
• 1-Year Internship - It is applicable only for PG and dual degree students in their final year.
• 1 Semester Internship - This internship is applicable both for UG and PG students.
  • UG - Final semester BTech students can do their project work as an internship at any research institute or industry.
  • PG - PG students of IIST may do a part of their project work at a research institute or industry for a period of 4 to 6 months and the rest at IIST.
• BTech students are eligible for summer or winter vacation for 6 to 8 weeks.
