SRM University BTech Application Process 2022

Students can follow the steps mentioned below to apply for BTech admissions at SRMIST.

Step 1 - Registration

• Candidates should go through the official website of the SRMIST and click on the "Admissions Tab" to apply for the BTech programme admissions.
• Now, candidates have to register for the SRMJEEE by entering all the details such as their name, email ID, mobile number, etc.

Step 2 - Email Verification

• After submitting the information for SRMJEEE registration, students will receive a link of verification to their email.
• They have to click on it to complete verification and registration for the SRMIST admissions.

Step 3 - Fill Out Application Form Online

• Candidates should fill out the SRMIST BTech admissions application form with personal, academic and other relevant details.

Step 4 - Upload Documents

• Here, candidates have to upload documents mandated by the institute according to the size prescribed by the authorities.

Step 5 - Pay the Application Fee

• Now, candidates should complete fee payment by paying the fee for SRMJEEE for BTech admissions online through Net Banking, Credit or Debit Card.

SRM University BTech Selection Process 2022

• Admissions to the BTech programmes at SRMIST will be offered through the SRMJEEE entrance test conducted by the Institute.

SRMJEEE

• SRMJEEE - SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam is a national-level entrance test for admission to the Engineering Programmes at SRMIST and is conducted by the SRMIST.
• The SRMJEEE exam contains a total of 125 questions from 4 different sections and carries 125 marks.

SRM University BTech Eligibility Criteria 2022

The eligibility requirements that candidates have to satisfy to secure admission to the BTech programmes at SRMIST are given below.

1. Nationality and Age

• Indian residents or Non-residents of India, PIO, and OCI card holders are eligible for appearing for SRMJEEE.
• Students of the NRI, PIO or OCI category who have not taken SRMJEEE should apply for BTech admissions through the international student category.
• Candidates should have attained the age of 16 years 6 months on 31^st July of the year in which the Class XII exam is held.

1. Qualifying Exam

• Candidates must have passed or appearing for the Higher Secondary Exam with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects along with Biotechnology/Biology/Chemistry/Computer Science/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Informatics Practices/Information Technology/Technical Vocational Subject/Business Studies as one of the subjects from a recognized board with an aggregate of at least 50% marks.
• Students who have completed their higher secondary education under NIOS must have finished their Class X from regular schooling or vice versa.
• Candidates who have completed GCE A-Level or IB Certificate or International Baccalaureate Diploma with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects mentioned-above as other subjects in any International Schools located within India are eligible to apply.
• For BTech Biotechnology, Biotechnology w/s in Genetic Engineering, Biotechnology w/s in Regenerative Medicine and Biomedical Engineering, candidates should secure an aggregate of at least 50% marks in PCM/PCB/PMB.
• All the students who have attempted Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, English and Aptitude in SRMJEEE (UG) are eligible for BTech admissions at SRMIST.
• SRMIST offers direct admissions to the BTech programmes to the first rank students of all State and Central Boards in India, top rankers of the IIT JEE, top rankers in every district of Tamil Nadu and students who have shown exemplary talent in national and international level sports.

Note

• Only those students who have passed the above-mentioned qualifying exam in not more than 2 attempts will be considered for BTech admissions at SRMIST.
