Aligarh Muslim University MBA

One of Uttar Pradesh's largest central universities is Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). It was established in 1875 and provides a vast selection of UG, PG and diploma courses. India Today currently places the university in fourth place. NAAC - Accredited with a "A+" grade and a CGPA of 3.35 on a four-point scale. The two-year MBA programme is divided into four semesters. There are two delivery options for the AMU MBA course: online and offline. A total of 60 seats are available. Students can choose from 5 different specializations. Students in the MBA programme have access to placements at AMU on a higher level. Admission is determined by entrance exam.

Application Process

Application process is online. One can apply by clicking on their official website- https://www.amu.ac.in/

• All required fields in the form, such as Name, Contact, and Qualification, must be filled out.
• The student's signature and a scanned passport-size photo must be uploaded to the portal just on webpage.
• The application fee is INR 600/-only for general category and INR 300/- for reserved category. The student must use online payment methods like debit/credit cards, UPI, net banking, etc. to pay the fee.
• Students are suggested to save, download, and print the form once the necessary information has been entered and the applicable fees have been paid.

• A printed version of the completed registration form
• 3 passport size photos (in formals)
• Migration certificate
• Proof of birth
• Adhaar card copy
• House tax bill copy
• UG examination marksheet (both original and photocopy)
• Scorecard of AMU MBA entrance test
• Internship certificate (if any)

Selection Procedure

There are three steps for the selection process and it is merit based.

Step 1: Entrance exam

AMU conducts its own entrance examination. It is a written test of total 200 marks and three hours. The English language is used to administer the MBA Entrance Exam. Offline Mode is used for examination. There are 100 MCQ-style questions in all. A negative marking of 0.25 is allotted for each incorrect answer.

There are five main sections to the exam:

• Reasoning and Intelligence
• Data Analysis and Interpretation
• Environmental Awareness
• Quantitative and Numerical Ability
• Comprehension and Verbal Ability

Each section carries 25Marks. The locations of the Admission Test are Aligarh (U.P.), Kolkata (W.B.), and Kozhikode (Kerala).

The following elements will make up the Total Merit:

Test Written: 100 Marks

25 marks for the interview, aptitude test, and group discussion

Step 2: Personal Interview

After getting a valid score and rank in entrance exam, candidates are shortlisted for personal interview which consists of total 50 marks.

Step 3: Group Discussion

It finalizes the candidate's selection and admission to the course. This step also gives a candidate 50 points.

Selected candidates can proceed for fees payment.

Fees Structure

Total fees of the course are ?5.87 Lakhs.

Hostel fee is INR 2000/- for the whole year and additional mess charges which include INR 1250/- for a year. Students have easy access to free Wi-Fi and both indoor and outdoor games.

Eligibility Criteria

• The qualified applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization from a university or other institution that has been recognized and approved.
• Additionally, he or she must have registered for and passed the Aligarh Muslim University MBA entrance exam.
• If a candidate has passed the relevant B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. Eng./B. Tech University Degree Examination of this University, or an exam recognized by this University as its equivalent, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and has completed the bachelor program for at least three years, they would be eligible for admission to these programs.

Placement

Placement is excellent. 60 to 70 percent of students are placed with lucrative packages.

• The highest package offered was 10LPA
• The lowest package offered was 3LPA
• On an average, students get a package of 4.5LPA
• The major recruiting companies are ICICI Bank, Indian Bank, Soft Nice, TCS, Zomato, MC Berger, Tata, Pie Infocom, WIPRO, Toyota, Mahindra, HDFC Bank, etc.
• Students can participate in both paid and unpaid internships. Through a variety of online resources, students can find internships. Some college students are hired by the businesses where they did their internships. Students must turn in a report from their summer internship to the department. It is necessary to earn a degree.

Cut Offs

To be admitted to AMU, applicants must achieve a 50 percentile on the entrance exam.
