The Graphic Era Deemed to be University was established by Dr. Kamal Ghanshala in 1993 as a Private University in Dehradun. It was previously known as the Graphic Era Institute of Technology, i.e when it was established. In 2008, it became Deemed to be University. The NAAC - National Assessment and Accreditation Council accredited Graphic Era Deemed to be University with an A+ grade in 2015. It aims to mobilize world-class quality education and provide it to all. Graphic Era Institute of Technology achieved the milestone of being the first self-financed institute in North India.
