IIT Jodhpur

The technical university IIT Jodhpur was constructed using a self-sustaining campus model. IIT Jodhpur is one of India's second-generation IITs. Through its 11 departments, the academy offers a total of 40 courses. The campus of the institute received the GRIHA Exemplary Performance Award. IIT Jodhpur is ranked 30th by NIRF as of 2022. The two-year full-time MBA programme is open to 80 Indian students and 10 students from other countries. There are also various specializations available. There are also numerous scholarships and financial aid options. Only after CAT results are released, the application form is available.

Application Process

• Visit the official website by clicking the link mentioned above.
• Fill out the application form with your personal and educational information.
• Upload the necessary scanned documents in the manner specified.
• In order to submit the application form, the application amount is paid online. Application fee is non-refundable. It is INR 1000/- for general category and INR 500/- for reserved category.

Selection Procedure

There are two phases to the recruitment of students for the MBA programme.

• Initial Shortlisting – Initial shortlisting is based on CAT score, academic profile, work experience, gender diversity, post-graduate degree/professional qualification, and significant achievement in extracurricular activities.

In order to encourage gender diversity, female candidates will receive a weighting of 5% during the selection process.

Different parameters carry weights as outlined in following table -

• Final Selection – Final selection is based on composite score. Composite score is calculated from CAT score, academic profile, recorded video introduction of candidate, work experience, gender diversity, post-graduate degree/professional qualification, and significant achievement in extracurricular activities. They carry weights as outlined below -

Personal interview- Applicants from all categories who have been shortlisted depending on the composite score will be contacted for an online personal interview.

Both phases will be used to compile the final list of candidates.

FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS, a valid GMAT/GRE score is also required for selection.

Fees Structure

Total course fee for a 2 year MBA at IIT Jodhpur is Rs.8 Lakh.

The cost of the MBA programme DOES NOT include the cost of the mess hall. They must be paid for separately. The selected candidates will receive information about the costs of the dorm and mess along with the admission offer letter outlining the fee schedule. Students must also expect to be paid some institute overhead fees, such as the semester fee, in addition to the costs associated with the dorms and the dining hall.

For international students

students from the SAARC nations: 3500$

students from the non-SAARC nations: 6000$

Eligibility Criteria

• An acceptable score on the CAT, which was administered by the Indian Institutes of Management.
• Candidate should possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, or hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree from a recognized university. After having finished upper secondary education (10+2) or an equivalent programme, the candidate must have completed a minimum of 3 of education to earn a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 60 percent overall (over all semesters and years), a cumulative grade point average of 6.00, or the equivalent in the qualifying degree. A 5 percent mark relaxation (i.e., a minimum of 55 percent) or equivalent CGPA relaxation will be given (i.e., a minimum of 5.50 on a 10-point scale) to candidates who are SC/ST/PwD (Persons with Disabilities).
• Students in the final year of their program are also welcome to submit an application. If chosen, these candidates will be admitted preliminarily with the understanding that they must fulfil all prerequisites for both the eligibility degree before the programme begins and that they must submit a temporary completion certificate in less than two months of enrolling.

Scholarships

Awards

A cash award of INR 50,000 each will be given to a maximum of 10 members of the incoming class of 2022-2024 who have demonstrated exceptional co-curricular/extracurricular performance by the end of the first semester, as determined by internal faculty committee of SME IIT Jodhpur.

Academic Scholarships:

The following scholarship programmes are being proposed to encourage applicants with consistently strong academic performance. According to CGPA at the end of the first year, the top 7 students choosing an MBA-Technology degree and the top 3 students choosing an MBA degree will each receive a cash prize of INR 50,000 and a merit certificate.

Education Loan- Several of the top banks offer student loans.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for EWS Candidates: For the batch 2021–2023, the top 3 EWS candidates will receive scholarships worth Rs. 25,000, Rs. 15,000, and Rs. 10,000 each semester based on academic performance and a GPA of at least 7.5 for that semester.
